If it's so unbearable to you stop watching. Tonight's episode was excellent. Loved the ending and the whole scene involving the bomber was incredibly intense (as was the planting of the bug in Saul's home). Really excited to see where everything goes.

Homeland could fart for an hour and you would still call it an amazing episode

...it was such a dull episode besides the one part with the bomber.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
Yeah, that was really fucking stupid.
And as good as the bomb scene was, it was still fucking dumb. Carrie risks herself and their mission just to make sure the bomber is still alive so Brody isn't believed to be the bomber? Please.
AND DON'T GET ME STARTED WITH THEM MAKING IT THAT CARRIE IS CARING BRODY'S BABY.

Right? There is no way, unless she was sneaking away because she knew where he was, stuck him with some needles, fucked him senseless and then flew back home.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
.... Even though it was pretty well established in the previous episodes no one (Hi there Saul) knew where Brody was.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
Well, I thought it was a very good episode. Am I happy that Carrie is pregnant with Brody's child? Not really. (Also, she is going to be the world's worst mother if she actually has a baby).
And speaking of Carrie, in my dream scenario where she ends up with Quinn at the end of the series, she would get to use "well, you SHOT ME THAT ONE TIME" to win any argument ever. But really, she kinda had that gunshot coming. Like, Carrie...chill for once and stop impeding every stealth mission you're ever a part of, lol.
I'm very intrigued as to how the final third of the season will play out.

Does Carrie being pregnant mean MORE crying?
Oh god I hope so.

First episode this season that is currently just sitting on my DVR and I don't even know when I am going to get around to watching it.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
"One Last Time" was the best episode of the season. It packed quite an emotional punch, one that has been largely missing previously.
Although I did laugh at Brody apparently forgetting he has another kid besides Dana, like most of the viewers of Homeland.
Those SEAL/Marine bearded physicians were all kinds of sexy.

Finally watched Sunday's episode. I definitely think that it was the best of the season and it did a nice job of tying together all the storylines that have been going on so far.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
"Good Night" was another highly satisfying episode, IMO. Really tense and exciting. I was reminded of Zero Dark Thirty. Unlike season 2, where the quality of the episodes declined as the season progressed, things are on an upswing as we get closer to the finale.
Also, RIP Hot Bearded CIA Physician Guy. That was sad, we didn't even get a shirtless scene!

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
"Big Man in Tehran" was a very good episode; season 3 has been improving with each passing episode.
It'll be interesting to see if they go there and kill Brody off. It feels like they should.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
R.I.P Brody Carrie's last phone call with him was heartbreaking and I LOVED the final scene with her drawing the star. I'll miss Damian Lewis an his phenomenal performance but I thought his character had kind of run its course and so I can't fault them for making that call. I love how everything played out over the three seasons. Next season is going to be a HUGE change. No Brody family and Saul being out of the CIA. I think this episode could have even served as a series finale with the way everything was wrapped up. Haters be damned, I loved this season. I thought it came together beautifully in the end and had some really fantastic episodes. Episodes 9 and 10 was probably one of my favorites of the entire series thus far. The internet backlash towards it was really bizarre and out of hand.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
Just finished watching the finale. I'm glad they finally had the balls to kill off Brody. As much as I do like his character, there was nowhere for them to go with him and he dragged this season down a lot, IMO. All the people crying about how Homeland is now going to suck because Brody is gone are crazy. It had to be done.
As much as I hate Dana, I wish the rest of the Brody family had a proper sendoff. Even if it was just them getting the news that Brody was hanged. It seems kind of unfair that they don't even get a final scene, especially when Dana was (unfortunately) such a large character this season.
Overall, I found the episode great and on par with the season 2 finale. The final two episodes of the final were a huge return to form for the show. They made me remember why I loved the show to begin with. It still aggravates me to no end how mediocre some of them episodes were, but whatever. It ended on a great note.
I'm definitely interested in where it was going. I hope they work on it and make a really compelling, interesting story line. I'm assuming the writers of the show definitely know where the show is going and though I lost a bit of faith this season, I'm hopeful they will go in the right direction. However, if next season doesn't work, I do think this would have be a proper, incredibly fitting series finale. The final scene of Carrie drawing the star was absolutely beautiful. Loved it.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
Thom, I didn't even realize you mentioned about how it could have worked as a series finale. I so, so agree. In fact, most of the time I felt like I was watching a series finale and not a season finale.

Magnus wrote: So they did what they should have done at least a season earlier. I actually may watch next season if they choose to actually revamp the show and kill off all Brody ties and start a whole new story. Though the baby thing probably assures they'll still keep too much Brody.
Homeland should have always been a season to season kind of show. The first season was great (for the most part) because it felt like it was just going to be one story for one season. As soon as they started to try to stretch the story as far as they could it suffered. Damian Lewis, Morena Baccarin and Morgan Saylor have all confirmed they're leaving so I think the storyline is pretty much done. Especially since the finale implied that Carrie's sister or father would end up raising her child.
