There's an issue when I'd rather watch scenes with Rayna's ex-husband, who is also boring, than one minute of Scarlett/Gunnar drama.

I'm enjoying it more than the first season (part of that might be that most of the characters have become much more likable, particularly Avery). The show still really can't decide if it wants to be a melodramatic soap opera or a look at the country music world, but it's handling the mixture better than it used to be. Also, Hayden Panettiere is really terrific on this show. I love Connie Britton, but Panettiere has become the best thing about this.

Also, Will the Closeted Cowboy's internalized homophobia towards himself is sort of fascinating and true to life. They're doing a good job with that.

Yes, I've still been watching and I'm enjoying it. I don't like Rayna's children at all and the storyline with Maddie sucks mainly because that girl isn't a great actress. But all the stuff with Juliette has been great, especially her rivalry with that new Taylor Swift-esque girl. And I'm enjoying Will's plotline as well.

Couldn't care less about Scarlett/Gunnar.

I still need to watch last night's episode since "Coven" takes priority over this live but I heard there were two big cliffhangers.

I was shocked about death!!! Nashville's past 2 episodes have been awesome and I can't wait for the cameo appearance of Kelly Clarkson in the new year.

Just watched the fall finale. Hayden Panettiere really is the best thing about this show right now and I say that as a die hard Connie Britton fan who started watching just for her.

I'm kinda liking the Juliette/Avery pairing tho.

Everything with Hayden Panettiere is aces. I love her character. And Connie Britton's storyline is actually enjoyable now but oh so soapy. That episode last night - "Did you try to kill the father of my CHILDREN?!" Avery has also grown on me.

Scarlett/Gunnar/Zoe/that little Taylor Swift wannabe, etc. are all flops and I hate them, though Gunnar is probably the most tolerable.

I fucking hate Rayna's children and I'm pissed they are getting plotlines I fast forward through any scene involving Maddie - she's insufferable.

Also, Scarlett's caffeine pill addiction is hysterical.

OMG the scene where Scarlett was having a breakdown on stage and hiding under the piano in the last episode was HILARIOUS.

Watched the last two episodes today. They were both solid. Kind of glad this will be back next season - it's become pretty fun.

I agree, the show kind of stopped being a slog and got much more entertaining. Season 2 was a big improvement.

There should be an edit of this show that removes all the Maddie scenes She's the worst.

This season sucks. With Hayden sidelined because of her pregnancy and the godawful daughters and Gunnar's 'son' or whatever the hell that plotline is taking center stage it's been a bit of a chore to watch.

This got a tad better with Laura Benanti's soapy (stupid) plotline but now that she's gone it's back to being awful. I may have to stop watching after the finale because I hate Rayna's children more than any characters on television and it disgusts me that they are getting their own plotlines

The season premiere was absolutely horrible. I haven't watched episode 2 yet.

It was bad too but a bit better. Hayden continues to be the best part even with this shitty postpartum storyline.

According to Twitter, there is 21 episodes this season. That would tally up to 86. Unless ABC"s slate of new dramas flop, this is the last season for it especially when its ratings are down 20% year-to-year so far.

I can't with yet another episode featuring Rayna's twat daughters throwing temper tantrums. Maddie screaming about how Teddy isn't her "real" father has been run into the ground.

Also, is every episode going to feature the exact same character beats for Hayden? So sick of this plotline.

The ending of tonight's episode

This show has really become All Miserable People, All the Time, so it was kind of nice to laugh at something. And I had to laugh because that was the soapiest goddamn thing I've ever seen. RIP Jeff.

I didn't find it that shocking because Oliver Hudson's on "Scream Queens" so I knew he wouldn't be pulling double duty for long. It was still hilarious though.
