She liked it.

Was the movie funny enough to give her added energy later?

Answer it, damnit!

It must've been so good that you're speechless now. You've only been using emoticons...

C'mon guys, why do you want to know so much about Zing's girlfriend? :???:

Anyways, I tried to see the 7:35 showing of Guess Who, but it was sold out, and none of us wanted to see anything else. Nothing else had sold out, and this was on two screens, so it's probably a good sign. Then again, urban films always do a bit better around me, and since this has Bernie Mac, that might be partially the reason why. It's still a good sign though.

Haha, thanks. I made a bet with B, and I had to keep it. Ah well, I think I'm going to nail this weekend's releases, so I'm happy as a clam at high tide. :)

Damn it's killing me - I want to know how D.E.B.S. is doing . I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to see Scott's report. Hopefully the news is good or I'll be disappointed .

Anyone want to know how The Jacket is doing?!

I caught the midnight show with my dad. The theater is only playing one show so I'm guessing this will be the final weekend it's playing anywhere. About 100 seats, 5 people (including us). The movie was surprisingly good. With an excellent story, good performances (though, I was a little disturbed by Adrian Brody's big honkin' nose), and some chilling moments, we have ourself a decent, and very overlooked, thriller. I loved the story, and the ending was also great. The movie wasn't great or anything, but a fine way to spend the night. If you want to see a decent and intriguing thriller, The Jacket is what you need. B-

Here is my theater report (before 10:30)

DEBS (110 seater)
2:25 - 10 people.
4:55 - 4 people.
7:25 - 6 people.
9:50 - 13 people.
(Flop)

Millions (90 seater)
2:55 - 8 people.
5:25 - 19 people.
8;10 - 19 people.
10:45 - 4 people so far.
(I guess it is not doing good here)

Melinda and Melinda (135 seater)
2:35 - 9 people
5:15 - 16 people
7:50 - 30 people
10:25 - 19 people
(Sorry Woody, no hit here).

Miss Congeniality 2.
1:00 (250 seater) - 20% full.
1:30 (400 seater) - 15% full.
2:15 (600 seater) - 5% full.
3:00 (250 seater) - 19% full.
3:45 (250 seater) - 12% full.
4:30 (400 seater) - 14% full.
5:10 (600 seater) - 14% full.
6:05 (250 seater) - 25% full.
6:45 (250 seater) - 25% full.
7:40 (400 seater) - 27% full.
8:15 (600 seater) - 19% full.
9:00 (250 seater) - 49% full.
9:45 (250 seater) - 51% full.
(Yikes, things where just not going it's way with this movie).

Guess Who
1:05 (300 seater) - 19% full.
1:45 (400 seater) - 13% full.
2:20 (600 seater) - 9% full.
3:05 (200 seater) - 23% full.
3:50 (300 seater) - 12% full.
4:30 (400 seater) - 13% full.
5:05 (600 seater) - 12% full.
5:50 (200 seater) - 41% full.
6:35 (300 seater) - 35% full.
7:15 (400 seater) - 50% full.
7:50 (600 seater) - 32% full.
8:40 (200 seater) - Sold Out.
9:45 (300 seater) - Sold Out.
10:05 (400 seater) - Sold Out.
10:40 (600 seater) - 36% full so far.
(Easily the best performer tonight).

Among holdovers, Ring sold out during the 7:30 show in a 150 seater, the 8:45 show in a 150 seater, the 9:45 in a 200 seater, and the 10:20 in a 150 seater. So hold was better than we thought (like 60%). Ice Princess drops almost 50% here, Robots dropped a mere 7%.

Overall, this was the lowest Good Friday we've ever had. It looks like a slow weekend (the rest of the holdovers were not doing alot of business here.

Next time when you go in a crappy movie like this one, I suggest to, um, get, ehrm, distracted during it.

There's a difference between the story being great and the whole movie NOT being great, but good.
