Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2012-2013 Edition "Boardwalk" is one of the most expensive shows to produce on the air right now. I think "Game Of Thrones" is the only one that may surpass it. But I do think HBO will renew it for at least another final season - it's done well enough for them and this season could be doing a lot worse. They kind of got screwed this season though premiering right in the midst of "Breaking Bad" frenzy since the shows attract similar audiences - they should have considered holding off on the premiere until after that series wrapped.

There is a lot to like, if you can get past Diane Kruger's character, which I understand - is hard to do. She actually doesn't seem that robotic now, like she did in the pilot. The entire villain arc has been on point and in control since it began. I think it's worth giving a second chance.
