David wrote: Have you watched The Borgias, Arthur? Approaching the end of the first season. By far not as good as The Tudors, though.

I do prefer The Tudors, but I believe The Borgias holds its own and has many virtues, particularly the characters played by François Arnaud and Sean Harris.
The second season is the best.

It is always frustrating to watch a series knowing that it has been cancelled before the planned ending.

In the midst of the second season of The Sopranos.
You know how a series that is so incredibly hyped up just cannot live up to lofty expectations? Well, that's not the case with The Sopranos. It's just too good. I mean each episode wows me how well it is weitten. Dayum!
The entire cast is pitch-perfect, in particular Gandolfini and Falco.
Still haven't started the second season of Homeland, but I will soon.

What do you think of Imperioli? He was my favorite next to Gandolfini.

There are so many great performances and characters. I don't see a single weak link, not even Tony's kids. My favorites are Gandolfini, Falco, Marchand and Tony Sirico.

I'm on S6 Pt 1, it's in the mix for best show I've seen. My favorite seasons are 3 and 5 though the back half of 4 is up there too.
Hands down the best acted show, don't think anything is close. Even non major performances like the guy who plays Artie are soooo good.
The only thing that's hurt it is I burned myself knowing who dies with the imdb actors/number of episodes. Though I read about the most famous one (car ride end of S5) like 10 years ago

I thought the son got pretty annoying in later seasons.

I don't know if The Sopranos is the best-acted show I have ever seen, but I am pretty sure it is the best-written one I have ever seen. MAAAAAJOR props to David Chase and his team.

Its a great show and part of the reason why we are in the middle of a golden period of dramas right now. I'm due for my third complete re-watch of the series soon.

Ever keep up with The Sopranos, Lecter?
I'm re-watching the series now, when I can. Up to episode 4. You know, I really liked the show when I watched it, but I appreciate it even more now.

Re: I am in for some great stuff (I hope)
Yes and yes. I am warpping up season 2 of The Sopranos, but I kinda stalled during the first season of The Wire. House of Cards and Luther got in my way. I think I will delay The Wire for now, to get ahead quicker with The Sopranos.
