2. X-Men: The Animated Series

This show honestly came out of no where for me as a kid. I had some toys, but had no idea who they were. I had never heard of X-Men before (Superman and Batman were such mainstream names and were pretty much the only superheroes you'd ever hear about) but then just wow. This show was awesome, and every character with individual powers was something I never saw before. Unlike a Superman with so much power or Batman as a masked hero using tech, each of these heros were flawed, had weaknesses, and worked as a team to get the job done. Not only that, unlike most cartoons of the time, it often had stories that spanned of multiple episodes, leading me to always need to see the following episode. Add in the social issues and fucking Wolverine easily becoming my favorite superhero, this show was a game changer for me. I got the entire series on DVD, and it still holds up remarkably well.

1. The Simpsons

Ironically, my number one didn't actually have a good intro on youtube, so I provided a clip instead. What can I say, is my number predictable. Absolutely, but come on. Even for all the complaints of the later years, there's still 10 years of not only the best cartoon of all time, but arguably the funniest show of any kind up there with Seinfeld. Even though some years went bad, the show has had another 6 or so solid years, and is again consistently funny. But with so many shows, it's just hard to constantly ahead of the curve. Amazing characters, brilliant satires with the Halloween episodes being favorites of mine, the Simpsons has covered every single you thing you could want from anything, and has succeeded in all of them. The music and animation as well at it's peak was unbeatable.

1. The Simpsons
2. X-Men: The Animated Series
3. Pinky and the Brain
4. Scooby Doo: Where are you?
5. Batman: The Animated Series
6. Doug
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
8. Ren & Stimpy
9, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck
10. Thundercats
11. Alvin and the Chipmunks
12. The Real Ghostbusters
13. Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers
14. Gargoyles
15. Rocco's Modern Life
16. GI JOE
17. Talespin
18. Snoopy and Charlie Brown Show
19. Captain Planet
20. Muppet Babies

What can I say, yes no Flintstones anywhere to be found. While I do consider it to be in the top 3 most important and influential shows out there, it just never did anything for me. I enjoyed it, but I enjoyed others a whole lot more. Thanks for watching, and I hope you continue to post yours as well.
