Mister Ecks wrote: Brenda's vote-off was necessary. I don't even know how she became a threat, but it was right to nix her now. But it was just as right to nix Eddie. Now Cochran and Dawn have to contend with Eddie and Erik sticking together, unless Erik continues to float along. Eddie has to only win two immunity challenges and he's the least deserving winner ever. But he can't win a challenge to save his life anyway.
I feel like if Cochran and Dawn are in the final three, Dawn can and will win. Dawn's chances are approximately less than zero, I think. Unlike Cochran, she got emotionally close to all of these people and then got rid of them, which is going to hurt her a lot. If you watch the Ponderosa videos, it's clear that the jury are not Dawn fans, especially after the Brenda vote. I would be very, very surprised at this point if Cochran doesn't win this thing. Also, Dawn got so much hate on Twitter after the Brenda thing that she deleted her account. Not that it's particularly relevant to how the game turns out, but I sense some awkwardness at the reunion on the horizon. Especially because Dawn is a basket case to begin with. Also, the previews indicate that the next person eliminated is evacuated due to a medical emergency. How much does that suck? You're that close and then you get forced out. I bet it's Erik.

Yep I bet it's Erik too. He was already going crazy this episode.
Soooo glad they got Brenda out. She was a huge risk to win it. I wish Brenda could have respected her tribe's move as much as Andrea. It sucks for her, yes, but strategic blindsiding moves are all par for the course.

Oh yes, it would definitely hurt (and probably haunt me forever), but I definitely think there's better ways to play it off in a game where only 1 person can win.
EW's recap had it right - Brenda had a lose-lose choice to make at the reward challenge. However, Dawn was already on the fence on voting Brenda off, that much extra guilt MAY have prevented her from doing so. (And at that point, Cochran could have included Eddie in on the vote.)

Why is Dawn getting such a backlash from people? I mean, it is a game with a primary objective of winning. Brenda was getting closer to Unbeatable Status for a final three.
I just really hope Eddie doesn't make final three.

Re: Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites
So...since I couldn't post here while finale was actually airing, I'll just post my sequence of thoughts I made at Filmgasm, lol, and some others:
Erik's "evacuation" was so bizarre. It was such a nonevent. I loled @ Eddie saying he wanted to open an animal shelter and...dog bar...if he won the money. Eddie's basically a human dog himself. Never change.
Sherri's opening statement was so bad. Gurl, I'm pretty sure you were already getting 0 votes. I think that may have pushed it into negative territory. Although I did like when she shut Erik the hell down, that was funny.
Dawn impressed me in the final tribal council by owning it and not breaking down crying like I expected her to. She also managed the task of looking like the sympathetic one after Brenda forced her to take her teeth out, which was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen on this show.
Yeahhhhh good job Cochran. I can't believe what a turnaround I did on him from his first season. Then, I found him annoying and twerpy. Now? A very deserving winner. He won unanimously also didn't have any votes cast against him all season, which means he played an essentially perfect game of Survivor.
The reunion was AWFUL. I was stunned at how incompetent it was, Probst seems to get worse at them every season. First of all...he talked to six of the 20 total players in the game. That's it. I believe we heard from Cochran, Dawn, Phillip, Malcolm, Reynold, Andrea and Brenda. He didn't even ask Sherri and Eddie token questions and they made the final four! And the pre-jury didn't even get to sit on stage. I wanted to hear Corinne say whatever nasty comment she had probably been planning for months. I'm sure you could've fit in Rudy AND Boston Rob AND awkward teen braces girl and still talked to the others.
The next season is obviously "Blood Is Thicker Than Water" or whatever, which I suppose means past players will square off against family members.

Re: Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites
Thoughts:
-The best, most deserving winner since Boston Rob. Cochran placed himself amongst the top players ever with that victory. He played Rob's game that took Rob four tries to play.
-I'm not a Sherri fan at all. I stand by my assessment that she's one of the five worst players ever to make the finale. And even I felt bad for how badly she was raked over the coals at Final Tribal.
-Brenda's vendetta with Dawn was a little over-the-top. Be bitter but being voted off for being a major threat to win vs. a very personal humiliation, cosmetic or otherwise, doesn't compare. Sorry.
-Erik went out like he played: a non-event. Probably one of the most undeserving players to be considered a "Favorite".

Re: Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites
So Cochran is moving out to L.A. because he got a job as a writer on The Millers (the new CBS comedy with Will Arnett this fall). Good for him but...lolwut?
