YES. Thank you, Jesus. I know logic should dictate that this show (with its very old skew) shouldn't still be airing on a super successful network like CBS but I don't care. It's so great. The syndication deal probably played a big part in a fifth season renewal.

CBS will probably cancel CSI: NY, Vegas, Golden Boy and Rules of Engagement. Not a whole lot of room to pick up new pilots, though.

Rules won't be back I'm sure. The actors' contracts are going to be up.

Rules will be renewed. It's CBS' prime show for fill-in.

I dunno, I think it may finally have run out of chances. The cast have begun signing up for other pilots and CBS has by far the most promising (or, more accurately, shows with starpower) slate of new pilots this season with relatively little room to fill them.

Yeah, I really don't think it will happen this year. Plus this season it's performing worse than usual in viewers, at least lately. Though that's mostly because of the low amount of viewers HIMYM is getting in the slot before it.

Renewals from FX's upfront presentation today:

"It's Always Sunny In Philadelpha" (10th season)
"Legit" (2nd season)
"The League" (5th season)
"Justified" (5th season)

The first three will all move to the new sister network FXX, slated to launch in September.

I know this probably won't happen, but CBS should try out some of its older skewing series on Saturday nights. They might be able to perform similar to their Friday series.

I think the last time networks tried out a saturday schedule would have either been the early 2000s or late 90s. I don't count programs like Cops

The last time I remember networks scheduling shows on Saturday on purpose (rather than a burnoff) was The District on CBS. Other than when they planned to dump Rules of Engagement there but never actually aired it on Saturday.

Lifetime has canned "America's Most Wanted" as the show gets the axe for the second time and should really be done for good this time.

Yeah I think that's possible. I remember when there used to be shows on Saturday nights. Off the top of my head I believe Dr. Quinn was at one point? And then that underrated CBS show That's Life with Heather Paige Kent was eventually on on Saturday nights.

In "recent" times, The District (like Libs mentioned) and Walker, Texas Ranger were Saturday shows. And that stupid show with Sammo Hung (Martial Law or some shit like that).

Old skewing would work since it seems like they're the only audience available. I could only think of Cops/America's Most Wanted as the ones that did well in 18-49, relative to total viewers.

As far as CBS goes, 60 Minutes would work as a combo with 48 Hours. Throw in the Mentalist there. I don't know why they insist on putting 60 Minutes after football. Just schedule a Post-Game show like Fox's The OT so everything else can start at 8. For Sundays with no football, schedule Big Bang Theory repeats or repeats of any of their dramas. They do exceptionally well for repeats anyway.

No surprise there, considering season 2's Blu-Ray sales.

A few updates:

"Buckwild" has officially been cancelled due to the death of one of the stars last week.

"Cult" has been pulled from The CW's schedule effective immediately. A rerun of "The Carrie Diaries" season finale will air this Friday and then subsequent weeks will have reruns of (LOL) "Oh Sit!"

"Being Human (US)" has been renewed for a fourth season by Syfy.

Not a renewal or cancellation (does inevitable cancellation count?), but FX has given a 10/90 order (similar to Anger Management) to Saint George, a new sitcom from George Lopez.

Quote:
Saint George marks Lopez’s first starring role in a sitcom since his long-running ABC series, George Lopez. The multi-camera ensemble comedy revolves around the chaotic life of a recently divorced working class Mexican-American turned successful entrepreneur. In the sitcom, Lopez will portray a man who struggles to balance his demanding ex-wife, his 11-year-old son, his overbearing mother who just moved in, and his uncle, as well as his new role as a philanthropist “giving back” by teaching history once a week at a night school.

I wonder if it will include any racial-based humor.

"Glee" has been picked up for TWO seasons

http://tvline.com/2013/04/19/glee-renew ... n-5-and-6/

Incredibly surprised with the declining ratings, but I guess it is still enough of a moneymaker for them to merit this.

I feel like they're going to regret this decision quickly.

I mean, it should've been renewed for next year but...TWO MORE? Oh lord help us.
