 Re: China Box Office (Skyfall) It's too multi-cultural to control. Hong Kong is far too liberal, and actually protests regularly about China imposing rules. I can't see Hong Kong ever being like China.

Lots of updates! I'm surprised that Dredd 3D is getting a Chinese release. That's the only reason I went to Hong Kong - I thought the violence and generally dark theme would keep it from getting a release here.

But it may appeal to the same crowd that like The Expendables, because the humour in DH5 will probably be immature enough to be hilarious to the Chinese. I'd expect around $25m total in a crowded time for US product. Resident Evil: Retribution is coming out three days later despite being available online for months. Re: China Box Office (Skyfall) Resident Evil: Retribution comes out here in a few days and I've already seen it online from a Chinese streaming service. But the funniest thing is, I just went shopping to a local supermarket, and on walking back a jewelery shop was showing the complete movie outside, and there was a huge crowd of people watching.
