More on "Up All Night" and its many problems, including an idea of what they were pitching for the multi-cam version. This is probably the most extensive thing I've read on the issues thus far.

http://www.tvguide.com/News/Up-All-Nigh ... 62227.aspx

"One pitch placed a portal between the two worlds — the single-cam and multi-cam versions — that only baby Amy could see. Another idea put [new showrunner Linda] Wallem and her real-life partner, [Melissa] Etheridge, in front of the camera, perhaps with the action taking place in their living room.

Ultimately, a script was written in which Applegate, Arnett and Rudolph played actors portraying the characters Reagan, Chris and Ava on a fictional show called Up All Night. Off the show-within-a-show, Arnett's character would live at home with his mother, and Applegate's would be dating. Rudolph's real-life pregnancy was being written into the storyline — and included a 'who's the daddy?' twist."

:hahaha:  :hahaha:

WHAT?! This sounds like the worst idea ever. No wonder the actors jumped ship.

What a fucking train-wreck!!!! That would have been a disaster! Did they seriously expect that would ever catch on? It would just alienate any fans the show had.

The mind boggles that NBC actually wrote a script and planned to film that weird revamped version of the show.

Is everyone at NBC getting high during work?

I still can't believe that even got past the pitch stage. It is such an awful idea.

"Vegas" moves to Fridays, with "Golden Boy" officially taking its timeslot.

Saw that coming.

Vegas' odds of survival are probably greater if it performs OK on Fridays.

Could be a Spike Jonze film.

I'm always used to Survivor having its finale the same day as Fox's Animation Domination so the former ending a week early is new to me.

I actually like "Smash" this season...kind of :P I'm still watching that is. I'll kind of miss it when it's gone.

I don't really care if something gets cancelled - I still watch all the episodes if it's something I enjoy. I plan on finishing "Smash."

The thing is I'd hate for it to end with some big cliffhanger. That would just annoy me.

Not sure anyone else but me really is on pins and needles about a fifth season renewal for The Good Wife, but the series has finally been sold into a multi-platform syndication deal so the odds are that it will return in the fall.

To Hallmark? Really? Seems an odd fit.

It's almost too bad the reruns wouldn't start airing sooner. Would be interesting to see how much they'd help a new season of the show on CBS. Syndication can definitely help give new episodes of shows a boost.

Definitely an odd choice network wise to go with. I was thinking more TNT.

How long before we find out whether Vikings is renewed? I ask because don't cable series often renew way in advance? I hope it's renewed. It's a good show.

Probably within the next two to three weeks I'd imagine. It's still early. I've been meaning to watch that show - have heard good things.

It sure can't hold much of its Bible lead-in though :P. Next to it the ratings look bad, but still a lot of viewers.
