 Re: Girls Season 2
That was probably the best episode of the season so far. It'll be interesting to see how far of a downward spiral Hannah's character will go.

 Re: Girls Season 2
When I called this episode "strange," I was mostly referring to Marnie's bizarre hookup with Jorma Taccone's artist character. I guess the point is that Marnie has a low opinion of herself at this point in time (i.e. she's the "bad friend" Hannah yelled at her for being) so she's willing to be treated poorly this by douchey guy for no apparent reason. But the whole thing just felt off for whatever reason, although the scene where Hannah yells at her was well-done.
Hannah and Elijah's coke-fueled night of partying worked much better and was actually really funny. I'm mad at The New Normal for existing and taking Andrew Rannells off this show earlier than it could have.

FYI, the fourth episode is already on demand and on HBOGo. It's also airing first on Saturday this week so as to not interfere with the Super Bowl.

Watched the fourth episode, which was excellent and maybe the first time I felt sorry for Jessa. Her last scene with Hannah was great. And the dinner scene was beyond awkward. Marnie still remains my favorite character.

 Re: Girls Season 2
Wow. Just watched the fourth episode and this show... It's honestly hard for me to explain my love for it. It is honestly one of my favorite shows now. The first season was wonderful but this season... Holy crap. Every episode is even better than the last and that is saying something. This episode was another series best for the show. The subway scene and the ending scene in the bathtub were just what great television is about.

"It's a Shame About Ray" may have been one of the best episodes of the show.

 Re: Girls Season 2
Wow. An excellent episode tonight and all things considered, it was actually quite the risky episode. I mean, it was a total change of pace from a normal episode. It was incredibly intimate and quiet. It was all Hannah and this wonderful, fascinating character that we have never seen before in his apartment for a half hour. No other characters, just them and it totally paid off. We as a viewer learned so much about Hannah tonight, probably more than we have than ever before and it was just wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
Patrick Wilson was also really great.

 Re: Girls Season 2
"One Man's Trash" was fantastic. It felt much like season 1's "The Return."
It was such a strange episode in that it mostly consisted of Hannah staying with Patrick Wilson, having a lot of sex and reflecting on her life. I doubt we'll see his character again but it was sort of a fascinating 30 minutes of introspection.
It's also funny how this episode would be Exhibit A for anyone who hates this show. It was a very self-indulgent episode for Lena Dunham. But again...sort of the point.

Yeah, it was terrific. Definitely felt more like S1 Hannah since she was interacting with a complete stranger.

 Re: Girls Season 2
Eh. Not the best episode this season but it was still good. Odd how much time Ray's character is getting. Shosh needs a freaking storyline!
The last phone call between Hanna and Marnie was painfully truthful when it comes to friendships though.

Wonder how long Jessa will be gone from the show. Hannah's such a mess.

 Re: Girls Season 2
I enjoyed "Video Games" more than expected considering it was focused on Jessa, who is by far the most irritating character on the show.
And yes, Hannah is and always will be a giant mess. The depths Lena Dunham will go to to effectively present her trainwrecky nature never cease to amaze me, lol.

Hannah's mother is insufferable. But I suppose she's written to be that way Really enjoyed tonight's episode. Tons of guest stars.

 Re: Girls Season 2
Yeah this was a really good one again. Of course Hannah has OCD.
Shosh hooking up with the doorman was kind of a strange plot development but I guess I'll see where that goes.
I liked seeing Adam on a date with a nice girl and seeming happy? lol. His relationship with Hannah was so destructive.
Also, Allison Williams has a nice singing voice.

 Re: Girls Season 2
The OCD thing kind of came out of nowhere but the episode explained that it came back out of nowhere so I guess. Really like when the focus is on more than just Hannah, and I didn't really miss Jessa tbh.

 Re: Girls Season 2
That scene with Hannah shoving the Q-tip in her ear made me look away. Also Hannah's mom continues to be insufferable.
Also LOL forever at Marnie's singing. That was beyond awkward.
Adam and Shiri Appleby was gross and kind of creepy.

Ray telling Marnie her voice is as good as Katy Perry and her response "What's that supposed to mean?" made me laugh pretty hard.

 Re: Girls Season 2
Wow, this show makes me increasingly uncomfortable with each passing episode. In a good way, I guess. Pretty much every moment of "On All Fours" was cringeworthy, from Hannah's q-tip fiasco to Adam essentially assaulting his girlfriend to Marnie's desperate singing.
But it's all so fascinating and interesting. I can never predict what will happen on an episode of this show.

Finale was great. Overall I think Season 1 was better than 2 but I still love this show.

 Re: Girls Season 2
I liked the season 2 finale but I can't help feeling like it was a letdown. Girls is one of the few half-hour shows that I think would really benefit from being expanded to an hour.
