The Giants are pretty much done. They need Chicago, Minnesota, and Dallas all to lose. I don't think that will happen. I give the Redskins the edge in the NFC East and probably Chicago getting the last playoff spot.

this is the 3rd time in the last 4 years where the Cowboys are playing for the division title on the last week of the season. And in each game, they've played a different team.

What ya talkin bout, even if Washington loses next wk, they will still have the better conference record. The division is sealed and dealed.

It feels good to be a DC native

no its not BJ. Division record would be the same, conference record would be the same. Dallas wins best on a better winning percentage in common games (the difference being that Dallas beat Carolina and Washington didn't).

Yeah their division records would be tied if Dallas won so Dallas would win the division. The Redskins would have a wild card edge over the Giants.

NFC EAST W L T PCT HOME ROAD DIV CONF PF PA DIFF STRK
Washington 9 6 0 .600 4-3-0 5-3-0 4-1-0 7-4-0 408 370 +38 Won 6
Dallas 8 7 0 .533 4-4-0 4-3-0 3-2-0 5-6-0 358 372 -14 Lost 1

According to ESPN Washington has the superior conference record through and through, and that will not change if dallas wins next wk.

i was wrong to bring up the conference record. it doesn't matter with regards to division, Wins among common teams trumps it.

1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.

They would be tied in 1-2. Dallas wins #3.

Ew, than RGIII will just have to pull off another epic win.

The Giants are eliminated and the Texans lost again and are looking at the #3 seed right now. They have sure fallen apart. I think Cincinnati will beat them next week.

The Falcons and Saints both played pathetic today. Worse for Falcons going into the playoffs. Not to mention the defensive injuries sustained in the game.

I don't think the Falcons really cared and didn't start a few key starters. They have a bye the game was meaningless.

The Packers better play a better second half if they want the second seed. However, the Niners and Seahawks look very sluggish as well.

John Abraham's injury is huge. He is a team captain, a leader and the driving force of that D-line. They need him on the field -- it's not a good sign that he was carted off either.

Dunta Robinson's injury is a hit to their secondary.

They have a an extra week to get them healthy. They both will probably be fine for the playoffs.

Denver's pretty much clinched the #1 seed. The Pats haven't quite locked up the #2, but one more score should do it.

And could the Vikings/Packers game be moving any slower for Dickerson?

That's good news. I was more worried about Abraham than Robinson.

What is the point of the 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty when you accidentally through a red flag when it's an automatic review? What a dumb rule.

I'm pretty sure Baltimore gets home field.

This Packer/Viking game is a great way to end the season. McCarthy threw his flag, which should have negated the review, a free seven points. I don't want to hear any more complaining about the Seattle game. :P

And the game itself is fantastic.
