Man, the Irish are better than "above-average". They've never been an air raid offense, it's always been smashmouth football. They're defense is lights out, they're legit contenders.

If we're going to talk about luck, I can think of the '98 Vols who got a ton of lucky breaks that year. The '08 Gators had couple lucky breaks in their NC season and the '07 LSU Tigers had some luck too.

Louisville is severely overrated, they don't belong in the top 15 - let alone the top 10.

Exactly. Which is why the BS system is so very flawed. Their best win was Cincinnati, and every team they have beaten is currently unranked in the BCS. Rutgers is the lone ranked opponent they have yet to play and they're coming off a loss to ......... Kent St.

Being undefeated is a big bonus in the computer calculations regardless of your conference. Now being in the Big East it isn't as big a bump and that's why teams with 2 losses are still ahead of them but the minute they lose they'll tumble. C'mon man, this has been the BCS way the past few years now.

Given the strength of teams Kansas State has beaten and the way they have beaten the opponents, no, I don't see Alabama passing them if they remain unbeaten. This is not past KS or a Boise State team where one could make such argument around SoS.

Kansas State will be sitting idle when Bama plays Georgia. Georgia will most likely be ranked 3 or 4, and if Alabama beats them -- yes, I feel they will leapfrog K-State.

I don't see it. Even being idle, you'd have an undefeated KSU with some #1 votes and they wouldn't have votes lower than 3 in the polls nor be ranked less than 2 in the computers. Bama with one loss isn't gonna somehow overtake an undefeated KSU in computers. Being undefeated just counts too much even when it's just 1/3 of the formula.

It would be a travesty if Alabama jumps over one of the 3 undefeated if they finish the season undefeated.
