 Re: Revenge: Season 2
Not a lot of complaints on this one!
- Loved Nolan and the CFO until the end. Hoping that the show explains the events to her quickly and she remains loyal to Nolan. There's an overload of potential 'backstabbers' right now - Though...Padma, as CFO, probably figures out Emily's identity quickly (Emily is a 49% shareholder or something, right?) - Any chance Padma's mom actually died in the terrorist attack? Hmm... - Much improved Declan burglary plot. Though, the Declan/ Charlotte reunion was a waste and awkward ('here, take my jacket'). In the name of simplicity, can Jack just ask Nolan or Emily for help and get this over with? Or let Declan go to jail? - The Kara Clarke plot is odd - so now Emily is troubled by Kara... and Victoria was right all along? Looking forward to the Kara/ Victoria reunion btw... - Kinda hoping for Amanda to be poof vamoose...ah well - Will Amanda remember her 'identity' after the coma? Would love her to wake up as Emily Thorne.
Fav line today was Amanda asking the other preggo guest..."Twins?" Emily looked so pretty in this one, btw.

Maybe she was trying to her from someone and not trying to actually drown her.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
Conrad: "I thought she was dead!" Victoria: "So did I, but right now she's standing in our powder room literally washing blood off her hands!"
These two. Can't even. Love it.
Also, Roger Bart's Mason Treadwell character is over-the-top even for this show. I laughed at everything he said. "Do you gag when you say the word honestly?"
All of the stuff with Emily, Ambiguously Psycho Mom Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Fauxmanda was great too. I really like how the writers have actually made Fauxmanda a nice, sympathetic character at this point, when she seemed like a more transparently troublesome person at first.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
I'm sort of enjoying how Jennifer Jason Leigh is reciting all of her lines like she's had 3 glasses of wine before every scene. It makes her character even more aloof and hard to decipher.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
May I say this was the best episode of the show yet?
Wow, everything was perfect. I LOVED the scenes with Amanda's mom on the GReyson's house.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
Definitely the best episode of the season.
Emily pwned Mason Treadwell hard. I loved everything about the way her REVENGEEEEEEEEE-ing unspooled in this one. Also, I had no issues with her making out with Aidan at the end, who is very attractive if not exactly interesting. Go for it Ems.
Nolan for the win, some more. "Hey Nolan, this one time at revenge camp, I met this follow revenger and guess where he's going to be summering?" The Nolan/Emily friendship makes me feel all the feels.
Was anyone else hoping the gift Emily gave Victoria was an empty box, just like Victoria gave Emily last season? "Put it upstairs with the rest of the unopened gifts." Classic Victoria icy burn.
The moment between Conrad and Victoria when they thought Kara was going to kill them was...dare I say, sweet? Who knew.
Speaking of Kara, I guess that's the last we'll see of her for a while. I'm still intrigued by Jennifer Jason Leigh's acting choice to play the character as if she showed up on set drugged on tranquilizers.
Was anyone else seeing the Neiman Marcus/Target commercials? lolololololol. I guess I appreciate the effort to deliver "new content" instead of commercials, but everything that happened was hilariously pointless.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
Agreed, best of the season.
A few points: - The Stowaway sale plot needs to move faster - What was the genesis for Amanda's 'Emily is psychotic' story to Mason?

So basicaly every bad guy on tv has mommy/Daddy issues? lol.
The genesis of Vicoria's character was nice tho cliche but nice.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
"Lineage" was a much better flashback episode than the one at the end of season 1. Victoria's REVENGEEEEEEEEE plot against her terrible mother was deliciously soapy.

I'd prefer they ditch the flashback episode altogether, but yes, this was an improvement

Maybe just IMO, but this season is a definite step down in quality from the first season.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
I still love it but it's sort missing the addictive quality of the first season. It's just been a bit too bogged down in the Initiative and other such things, which seem like more of an obstacle to Emily's revenge plots than anything else.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
Victoria and Conrad are like the best couple ever.
I want the initiative to do whatever they're doing so their story is over and Emily can keep moving forward.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
As much as I loved this episode, the show makes no sense! If Nolcorp is a public company...how would Nolan hold 49% and Grayson Global 51% of voting power? Where are the public investors? Unless they're talking about a different class of stock. In any case, that 51% seems to come out of thin air -- if David Clarke's stake is gone, there's clearly other investors with that voting block. Grayson Global would have a claim to realized gains from Clarke's sale, not to a share of the company (other investors be damned!)
Maybe I'm missing something. I didn't watch the flashback episode.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
This episode was indeed pretty great, but I realize I just have to shut off my brain when it comes to Grayson Global and the Initiative and all the business stuff. It makes no sense and it just gets confusing if you think about it for more than .5 seconds.
I'm assuming Victoria's call to Emily and her responding "leverage" closer means we'll see a fake alliance between the two of them in January. Can't wait for that. REVENGEEEEEEEEE! *shakes fist in air*
Also, Victoria in regards to Conrad: "You have wormed your way to the very nadir of repugnance." I would pay Madeleine Stowe to read acid-tongued insults for a few hours.
Oh, and Jack's dreadful bar storyline finally got interesting this episode. Yay. I feel like the dead body on the boat is going to end up being Fauxmanda, now that most people have started to like her and she has emerged as the show's Designated Voice of Reason.

 Re: Revenge: Season 2
I don't think it'll be Fauxmanda; the show's creators need to maintain the Emily/ Amanda name change in their reserves.
All logic aside, I hope it is Decleon!

All logic aside, I hope it is Decleon! I think everyone hopes it's Declan. It can't be that easy, though.

The body can't be one of the goons or else that would be a repeat of Season 1 and Tyler. It will probably be Declan or Amanda.

To add to this comment, Emily's red X marker of REVENGEEEE against the abusive judge was a welcome return to form. The show does really need to fix the Jack and Declan bar storyline, though, which gets dumber with every episode. I kind of like how virtuous Jack is but he may be the dumbest character on network TV right now. Also, Declan is still the worst. Can he please be the dead body they find on the Amanda?

What everyone else said. Good episode. Hated the Declan plot. Loved that we finally saw the Initiative -- and loved Nolan having something to do for a change.
