 Predict The Grudge's total
Now that we see it's going to do at least 35+ this weekend, and it shouldn't drop TOO hard next weekend since it's Halloween, what all do you expect this to do?
I think about... 95. It'll do just under a 100, sadly. I think it'll have a very steep third weekend drop, and just keep on dropping from there.

I'd give it 117m. There are not too many examples them, but PG-13 horror films seem to hold up better then their R rated counterparts.
However, I think that while wom is mixed, there is more good then bad. And the good wom is is great from some calling it the scariest movie in years. I would expect a multiplier of at least 2.5 without holloween. With it, I believe it will get at least 2.7.

Scary Movie 3 didn't drop too hard on Halloween, but look at its legs... I see about the same for this.
$88 million tops.

According to some people this is the scariest movie ever.
This weekend it will do 39 mil.
Weekend of 10/29 is Halloween, it should rise and make 49
Weekend of 11/5 is the weekend after Halloween, So 38 mil.
Weekend of 11/12 is 2nd weekend after Halloween, So 37 mil.
So on and so forth, by the end of this year The Grudge would have passed Titanic as the biggest domestic grosser of all time.
Go Grudge Go

I really hope you aren't serious.
By some of the predicitons on this thread I can't tell whether people are being serious or not.
I don't think any movie has ever had under a 2 multiplier, and you don't see many with under a 2.5 multiplier.
So I would see at the least 100 million for The Grudge.

Guys, even AVP managed to get over a 2.0x multiplier. Hell, Resident Evil got more than 2.0x. The Grudge cannot get any lower than 2.3-2.4x. I think somewhere around 2.5-2.6x sounds right. The legs won't be awful, because it obviously wasn't as frontloaded as we though. Plus, next week is Halloween, so it will have an okay hold.

I predict a 40% drop next weekend, slightly lower than a typical horror film due to the holiday.
It should finish with between $110-$125 million.

Well, it didn't quite hit $40 million over the weekend, so it won't be the first film with a $40 million opening weekend to not hit $100 million.

I'll now go with 107.5m. I expect the multiplier from this point on to be about 2.7.
