Re: WOKJ 12' NFL Fantasy League Week 3 Rick Rossayyy
Wont get a win this week either to drop me to 0-4, just have to keep building my team and hopefully pull out a couple of wins this season. At least they all have been close with an average of 8.5 points per loss.

Just for the record again, I think all players should pop on waivers when the games start.... major advantage for people that dont have anything to do on Sunday and can just veg out in front of the TV

Also, I don't know why I'm so good in this league... yet so HORRIBLE in my money league. I'm 0-4!

Why do we even have a waiver wire when it can't be used? The waiver wire is there to counterbalance the draft order. At the moment a few people get all the nice pickups without having to sacrifice anything

Re: WOKJ 12' NFL Fantasy League Week 4 (0-4 and hoping for a
I see your point on waivers but my vote would be to leave it the same just because of the Thursday game turn around and the fact that we added two addition bench spots this year. So their really hasn't been a lot left on the waiver wire any way.Players that are dropped do get placed on waivers for 2 days though. I think this is just a case of sour grapes that someone picked up 1 week star and they didn't get them. But in the end did it really help them? Example during the first game of the season Kevin Ogletree lit it up and was snapped up off the waiver wire, but what has he done for the last 3 weeks.....

OK w/ rule change to do yahoo's new game time waiver feature. Even though I benefited from current rule last weekend, I did miss out on a lot of other players in previous weeks not paying attention during the games.

Re: WOKJ 12' NFL Fantasy League Week 4 (0-4 and hoping for a
alex, you're a waiver wire vulture.
i do think it makes sense to change the rule, though i'm not going to fight over it.
my other league has a similar set-up, but because the rosters are not so deep (as in, 1/2 the size of the WoKJ bench) so we don't hoard as many players, it doesn't have as much of a (potential) impact
in this league, for example, you don't need to make a decision between shelving an injured player for eight weeks (eg, Aaron Hernandez) and picking someone else up. this makes the waiver wire options very limited -- and if the options are limited, a waiver wire time limit (eg, no pickups on sunday) begins to make more sense...so that people who need players urgently have an opportunity to get them. that, essentially, is what the waiver wire is all about.
and i say this as someone who got 37 pts (or more?) from andre brown that one week

Re: WOKJ 12' NFL Fantasy League Week 4 (0-4 and hoping for a
fantasy football 'advice' is so lame take the following article on trade value for example: http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantas ... alue-chartthis guy somehow believes that demaryius thomas for victor cruz or roddy white is a fair trade. further, demaryius thomas is somewhat more valuable than mike wallace...and infinitely more valuable than his own teammate eric decker... ...who has identical yardage, one fewer TD, but more targets.

Example during the first game of the season Kevin Ogletree lit it up and was snapped up off the waiver wire, but what has he done for the last 3 weeks..... where it benifits is when a player has a great RB or WR or something and they go down with a broken leg. well the person watching the game can snap up the backup asap and then they have a possible top tier RB or WR. At least if they were on waivers the person who lost the top RB with the broken leg now at least has a chance to get the backup. With yahoo adding the Game Time waivers it makes it nice so when the thursday games happen on the thursday people go on waivers and we can still pick/add for sunday and monday games
