 Last Resort (ABC)
Wow, this is one of the best pilots I have ever seen. Intense and moving with top-notch performances and sharp writing. This could be a major, major series. I hope the ratings are phenomenal.

I really enjoyed the pilot, but I'm almost certain this will be cancelled.

 Re: Last Resort (ABC)
It's on in a notoriously tough timeslot for ABC (everything has been cancelled that has premiered there since 2006 when "Ugly Betty" premiered), it's a very competitive night where many ratings juggernauts air, it's an expensive series and also the concept isn't entirely marketable/accessible to a general audience.
I hope I'm wrong though. I really did like the pilot and love Autumn Reeser and Scott Speedman, plus the concept has a lot of long-term potential. I guess we'll see.

Other than Ugly Betty (which was only a success for about a season and a half anyway), no show has survived long-term in that slot for a longgggg time. I want to watch this, though. Andre Braugher is awesome.

I also get that this may have just been a case of not having anywhere else to put it, but it's bizarre this is airing with "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal" and also expected to anchor the night. The tone of this show is completely different from those two.

The pilot was great and I haven't gotten into a network drama in years (since Fringe?). Its a shame the ratings weren't that great, once again proving that high concept dramas belong on cable.

 Re: Last Resort (ABC)
Just watched the pilot. And surprisingly it was awesome. I didn't like the trailer that much when I saw it over the summer. But I definitely hope this maintains its not so stellar premiere ratings. Maybe it can grow due to WOM? But it definitely doesn't feel like an ABC show which might prove to be a problem for it. And it definitely doesn't fit with Grey's.

This is like Crimson Tide crossed with Lost, with a little political intrigue thrown in. I liked the pilot a lot, even if this will get cancelled after one season.

This will be this season's Flash Forward, I assume.

FF debuted with a 4.0 in the demo and something like 12-13 million viewers. LR is nearly already half of that numbers in the demo. It didn't start off huge in the premiere so obviously the expectations aren't as high for it as they were for FF (that was time when ABC was desperately trying to find another SF high concept show season after season to replace Lost).
