 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
When was the last time the Saints, Packer, and Patriots all lost the same weekend?

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
This was the FIRST time that Brady/Brees/Roethlisberger/Manning all lost on the same week.

nghtvsn wrote: You already called it when you said Quote: 1. Jennings intercepts ball but is on 1 foot At that point, it doesn't matter that Tate has his right arm draped over the ball. You can't see his other arm, but we do know Jennings has both thans on the ball and it's on his chest... Jennings can't control the ball at this point because he's only on 1 foot. Possession only counts when both player's feet or another part of his body hits the ground. No team had true possession of the ball (by the definition of 2 feet or another part of the body) until Tate's ass hits the ground, at which point both players clearly had their hands on it. There's not a lot of difference between this play and one where Jennings goes up and grabs the ball, but drops it in his mid-air leap, then a Seahawk scoops underneath to grab it before it hits the ground. That would be a SEA TD with no controversy despite the fact that Jennings had physical "control" of it in the air, except that "control" never counts due to losing the ball before he hits the ground. The biggest difference between this play and the one that actually happened is a) Pass Interference, which everyone agrees was uncalled in the GB-SEA game, and b) Simultaneous possession instead of the Seahawk grabbing it outright, but for all intents and purposes they mean the same thing As far as I can tell there's nothing in the rules defining "control" as a player having his hands around the ball. Control is not meant literally. It's the type of control that requires possession and two feet on the ground. A 1 foot catch or interception that isn't completed by landing basically means jack shit at any point of the game. The only time it matters is if a player is forced out of bounds before he can land The biggest reason this thing blew up is Jennings wrestling the ball away from Tate after the play is dead on the ground. If Tate was the one who came up with the football it probably is received very differently. People are just letting the aesthetic look of Jennings having the football alone on the ground affect their judgment of the play

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
The running game has been on fire and Brady floats the ball into the end zone?
Thank you Ridley.

Unbelievable. Now the real refs missed an offensive pass interference call in the end zone to screw the Packers. WTF? YOU CAN'T PUSH OFF!

I still think the 49ers win 10 games or less.

For me, I need to see Minnesota beat another above .500 team to consider them legit, or good.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
San Fran will get to 12 and be a top 2 seed again. Buffalo, Seattle, St. Louis, @ St. Louis, @ New Orleans, and Miami are all easy wins. I'd say the odds of them losing five more games are higher than not losing a game for the rest of the season.
