I don't know exactly what amount of cash Avengers made thanks to IMAX and 3D, but it's clear that it starts with an advantage over TDKR. However, Avengers's attendance in IMAX theaters over the weekend will probably turn out to be significantly lower than TDKR's. So TDKR might be able to close the gap between it and Avengers (because of IMAX/3D) a little bit, maybe by $5-10M?

It will open over TA IMO, but not my much. The lack of 3D will be a limit, but I think the anticipation for TDKR is at least equal to that of TA. The marketing has been impeccable, and anticipation at this point is higher than it was for The Avengers a week out in my social circles (College).
My prediction is 213m for the OW.
Now let the newbie ripping begin lol.
