Good. I would hate for it to disappoint.

gorgeous. absolutely gorgeous.

The sound of the credibility of all criticisms of Nolan apparently not being able to cast attractive women.

It's official. #TheDarkKnightRises is ****ing amazing. It received a standing ovation from the screening this morning (all critics).

These first reactions remind me of those of LotR: Return of the King.

Nolan has done it again. Without using a festival of CGI like Marvel films.

The early reviewers do not think that it's too early to tell.

Katie Holmes & Maggie Gyllenhaal anyone? They both sucked balls.

Ellen Page was meh. Anne Hathaway still don't look right as Catwoman.

And Marion Cotillard is gorgeous as hell.

Perhaps you would have prefered if Nolan had cast Kim Kardashian or Nicki Minaj?

Nicki Minaj's videos are close to being movies.

And haven't you seen Kim's homemade video?

I don't listen to Nicki Minaj and don't watch the Kardashian show, so no.

I prefer actors, but better actors than some of the ones Nolan's chosen.

God, sure you are allowed to post positive/negative things about a film, but stop being cynical, just state you hate Nolan/Batman and that's all,,,, there's nothing wrong to be sincere

Exactly. It's so clear that he always tries to find something negative to say about TDKR. If you don't like Nolan's films, well good for you, but why do you come here?

Lol I would love to see How Nolan would have filmed this infamous scene from TF1...

Uhmm, okay.

Here's how I would rate Nolan's films:

Following - haven't seen it
Memento - 10/10
Insomnia - 7/10
Batman Begins - 9/10
The Prestige - 7/10
The Dark Knight - 8/10
Inception - 9/10

Those are some pretty solid grades wouldn't you say? In fact I think Nolan is one of the best filmmakers around today. But that doesn't mean I have to get a massive erection by the mere mention of his name. And I do feel he has made some poor choices when casting female parts, and to me at least casting the right actors is important. Other than that however I don't see any holes in his game.

So please, don't make me out to be another BKB. I give credit where credit is due, and I like Nolan's movies.

I believe Maggie Gyllenhaal would have been more effective in The Dark Knight if she could have also played the role in Batman Begins. A strange dynamic where we are intended to see in the Rachel character the history and intensity established in Begins, but she almost seems a new character because of the switch in actresses.

Marion Cotillard and Ellen Page are perfectly cast in Inception, in my opinion.

Rebecca Hall is wonderful in The Prestige. Scarlett Johansson meets the demands of her role, but is largely unmemorable.

Katie Holmes & Maggie Gyllenhaal are primarily the ones I have an issue with. And I don't care much for Ellen Page either.

And Marion Cotillard is awesome and beautiful in everything.

The LA screenings are about to end in like 5 minutes. We should get some tweet reactions within the next hour or so. :D

1. Sasha Stone (@AwardsDaily) cautiously reminding everyone that TDKR is not made for "older 60s white guys".

2. Critic after The Dark Knight Rises screening: “If this does not break the mold and win Best Picture, no comic book movie ever will.” #TDKR

3. Archer Dalton‏@ArcherDalton
My buddy (a film critic) texted me after a screening of The Dark Knight Rises. Apparently, it's unbelievably brilliant. Best of the trilogy.

I received an email from Under Armour within the last 30 minutes regarding TDKR. It appears we will be able to buy TDKR/Under Armour clothing, jerseys, etc.

HELL YES! :shades:
