Supposedly they will be released the same week, which is bad for both of them. Chinese government won't allow any Hollywood releases during the summer because they're propping up some local films.

August has been deemed local month and a ban on international films has been imposed, but I can't find a link to the story I originally read. So, perhaps that article is not correct. I think TDKR's release date is 8/30, regardless if TASM is moved.
