The Big C
New season premieres tonight!
This is one of the best shows on TV. I absolutely loved the first season and Laura Linney's performance was beyond incredible. It's a hilarious, heartbreaking and poignant series.
Anyone who doesn't cry at this scene from the finale has a heart of stone.

I watched S1 recently and it was a lot better than I thought it would be, will be watching S2.
Adam was a little shit for a while, but I liked that he was as most 14/15 years are kind of intolerable. That scene above from the finale was quite effective and I look forward to S2 now that everyone knows about the cancer, but moreso wonder how Adam might be a little different going forward.
The Gabourey Sidibe stuff from S1 felt oddly pointless to me, though. She was there kind of regularly for the first half of the season, then it felt like she was just gone and it didn't really make a difference.

Catching up on this today. I just watched episode 12 of the second season. The final scene in that episode with Lee's death was heartbreaking and beautifully done. I loved the shot of Laura Linney going outside and looking at her watch, so touching.

Man do I really love this show. Am starting Season 2 now. The part in the Season 1 finale where her son found the storage locker made me cry.

Season 2 was still fantastic.
***SPOILERS***Lee's death joins the finale of Season 1 as the show's biggest tearjerker moment.***END SPOILERS***
Now I'm going to get to downloading Season 3. Another cliffhanger makes me glad I don't need to wait almost a year to see what happens. I will be so pissed if this show isn't renewed for a fourth season. I'm soooo hooked!

This season was a huge step down in quality. Such a shame. But I'll admit to enjoying the finale. It was kind of beautiful and made Cathy's actions more understandable. It helps us understand more where she's coming from. I want to see it come back for a final season and please let it return in top form. I want it to go out on a high note. Will definitely be disappointed if it isn't renewed, though if it isn't I could certainly live with this ending. Cathy hasn't been very happy, and now she's finally free.

The more I think about the finale the more I love it. It was very symbolic.
