 Re: Girls/Veep (HBO)
Episode 2 of Veep showed why Julia Louis-Dreyfus is one of my favorite comedians. I'm not sure if I laughed harder at the little moment of her glee upon hearing the president was experiencing chest pains, or the bout of the stomach virus and consequent shitting in her pants at the end. lol.
Also, I'm becoming a little bit obsessed with Girls. There are moments every episode where I keep wondering if Lena Dunham has stalked my life and/or the lives of people I know regarding certain things. I mean, not the HPV thing (lulz) but I have legitimately danced around with a girlfriend to Robyn. So there's that.

 Re: Girls/Veep (HBO)
girls episode 3 was almost perfect and i almost started crying because i had also dropped my food in water so i wouldnt eat it but then ate it anyway recently and then she put on "dancing on my own" and i almost tweeted about it but i didnt bc i have to keep my tweets somewhat obscure despite wanting to reveal irl detains like she also stops herself from doing at the very end ok?

 Re: Girls/Veep (HBO)
So with Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood, Curb, Enlightened and now Veep and Girls, HBO surely is back on track close to par with its glory days in the early 00s.

 Re: Girls/Veep (HBO)
"Enlightened" is fantastic but no one watches it. I think the first season averaged under 200,000 viewers per episode or something. It only got a second season renewal because of the Golden Globe nominations.

So is the point of Girls that every guy is a dick, but girls still want to fuck them?

 Re: Girls/Veep (HBO)
The scene where Hannah propositioned her boss was hysterically horrifying. I like that Girls is sort of about the depths of insecurity and self-absorption among these characters. None of them (except Shoshana) seem to be very good people but that's not really the point.
Veep continues to be hysterical, btw. Julia Louis-Dreyfus should win her third Emmy.

Of course it's being praised for its originality and brilliance, it's a show about people who have managed to find a way to absorb themselves!

I liked Jonah making up the acronym VPVP to refer to "vice presidential visual presence."

It reminded me of "PWIP-PIP" (watch In the Loop, Libs!).

 Re: Girls/Veep (HBO)
I was concerned as to why I was being subjected to seeing Peter Scolari full frontal and the mom from Freaks & Geeks topless on the last episode of Girls.

 Re: Girls/Veep (HBO)
Last night's episode of "Girls" was the best one yet. Shoshanna's storyline was hilarious.
Still have to watch "Veep" but I think it is the best straight comedy that HBO has put out since "Summer Heights High."
