But why try something new when you have good numbers on Monday. With one move they can lose both a new show and established show like Castle.

To further add to the "DWTS as lead-in" argument: the fall edition is apparently going to be an all-stars edition, which should mean a ratings bump. Which in turn benefits Happy Endings/Don't Trust the B.

I was wondering when they would do an All-Star edition.

... I mean, BOO! Who watches DwtS anyway, old geezers?!

But Castle has been actually growing while DWTS has been dropping. I think Castle is fine where it is and ABC didn't make a mistake trying a new show post DWTS.

Overall a good schedule IMHO. But the Sundays are anyone's game now. DH provided a foothold for ABC for years now. OUAP is strong but not THAT strong and Revenge won't explode suddenly. It will definitely be under what DH did this season. 666 Park Avenue will probably fail. ABC started to lose Sundays when they stubbornly kept Brothers & Sisters for years behind DH. They are left with a rather weak(er) 9 PM show and a (what should be) selfstarter at 10 PM. And those are hard to find these days.

Malibu Country sounds like a remake of WB/CW's Reba. And hey, it's even airing on Fridays!

Overall a good schedule I'd say. I guess we won't see any huge moves this season. CBS will probably play it safe as they have the strongest schedule anyway. CW can do whatever. It will still fail.

I really don't think a any other show will do BETTER in that slot. Maybe about the same. It works so they may as well keep it there.

Anyway, I think their schedule is great. Really have no gripes. Happy Endings and Apt. 23 have a strong lead-in (even if it attracts a different audience) and I believe that gives them the edge over Fox's sitcoms. New Girl may have some audience overlap with Happy Endings but it's hardly a major threat. I know what I'll be watching. Hopefully both can succeed. Happy Endings and Apt. 23 fit perfectly together. What a nice hour of television that will be.

Last Man Standing and Malibu Country are a perfect pairing as well. I think Nashville would have went well with them too but it would be crazy to start that on Friday's.

"Nashville," "666 Park Avenue," "Red Widow" and surprisingly "Last Resort" all look great. I was also amused by the "How To Live With Your Parents..." spot.

"Mistresses" looks like it could be a fun summer guilty pleasure.

"Zero Hour" looks a little too goofy for me. "Malibu Country" and "The Family Tools" both look 'OK,' but neither are shows I would actually watch.

"The Neighbors" looks HORRENDOUS.

The fact that ABC chose to put Revenge after OUAT instead of 666 (a natural fit) makes me think they really want Revenge to be a hit.

PS - I'll watch Revenge if the Revenge fans watch OUAT. OUAT is the new network with a cable/internet fanbase show. I would guess there's like a 95% chance that the people who liked Lost and cable shows would be hardcore on OUAT. Also Libs not watching it is like if she took a year to listen to Adele. Jennifer Morrison basically is Libs

I think Once Upon A Time looks really good and I like Ginnifer Goodwin a lot. I just have a hard time keeping up with too many shows as they air so I only bother with a select few. Am excited to check out OUAT when it hits Blu-ray this fall.

Mistresses is on this summer? That looks really enjoyable. Will definitely watch.

666 Park Avenue looks good. As does Red Widow. Cannot for the life of me understand why ABC didn't put this after Revenge. Looks like it would have been the perfect fit with that. When does it start anyway? Don't see it on the schedule.

How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life) looks incredibly enjoyable.

These are the only trailers I've checked out. None of the others sounded interesting to me.

If The Neighbors looks as bad as everyone is saying why are they wasting the coveted post-Modern Family spot on it?

Did ABC scrape the bottom of the barrel for their new shows? From the producers of Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars (666 Park Avenue), From the writers of the Twilight movies (Red Widow), From the producers of Transformers and G.I. Joe (Zero Hour), From the writer of Gossip Girl (Mistresses)... LOL.

I like Nashville from the previews though...

I watch both Revenge and Once Upon a Time and love both. Offcourse I download them but Revenge is a big winner on TV here too. Its probably the biggest US drama show since Desperate Housewives in 2004 so its even bigger than in the US. And thats with thousands of people downloading the show. OUAT is yet to premiere but has been getting a big marketing push since January.

Amazon has a $15.00 off instant coupon right now for Once Upon A Time on Blu-ray so the price is only $29.96. A huge savings off the retail and it will go down even more if by the time it's released Amazon's price goes down more, and it likely will. Just pre-ordered it as a blind buy.

"Devious Maids," the ABC pilot starring Ana Ortiz and Susan Lucci and produced/written by Marc Cherry, is going to Lifetime now officially with a 13-episode order.

I always liked Ana Ortiz on Ugly Betty so that's nice she gets to headline a show. But I doubt I'll watch it.
