I think if I was Romney I wouldn't want Trump's endorsement. Trump hurts him more than helps him.

Re: Repub nominee watch - Romney wins FLA
Too bad Romney has pulled so far ahead of Gingrich again. I was wanting Trump to join the race like he's been hinting at for a year now (not).
I don't think most people care about Trump, so his endorsement shouldn't have any negative impact on Romney's campaign, nor a positive one.

Romney easily wins in Nevada.

Being the blow-hard that Trump is, he might have made a big deal about a rejection and then maybe decided to run as a third party candidate. Better to accept and have a brief news cycle cover it and then let everyone forget about Trump again.

The Romney people knew the damage that he could cause through a rejection would have been worse. Too bad they didn't do it later though instead of in the same week Romney had the whole "don't care about poor people" thing.

Now to control those oil prices... Oh, I guess I should hope for Israel to attack Iran then.

Re: Repub nominee watch - Romney wins FLA
Well foreign crisis could actually help Obama as long as he handles them like he has with others. So, we have three states voting today and many experts seem to think Santourm will at least win Minnesota and probably Missouri (although they won't be giving any delegates). Colorado will be very close.

Romney up by 10-14 in CO. He won by 42 last time.
Surprised by Santorum in MN.
It's now 14-15 nationally. Looks nearly over.

Hmm, looks like Santorum may very well sweep today.

Romney was 28 behind in a state (MN) he won by 19 when he didn't get the nomination.

I have heard Minnesota republicans have gotten more conservative, although the state will remain democratic in November. Colorado is a surprise, I wonder what happened there, although I heard people say the republic base there is similar to Minnesota. The other big deal is the turnout is down from four years ago. I think that says a lot about republican enthusiasm in those two states (I won't count Missouri since it doesn't count). Of course, Minnesota is a democratic state and shouldn't matter. I still believe Obama will win Colorado and this gives me a good sign of that.

Re: Repub nominee watch - Romney wins FLA
If I'm reading this correctly, the turnout for CO caucus is much lower than 4 years ago: there were a total of 70,229 votes for the GOP contest in 2008, but so far they have only gotten around 8,000 votes with 46% precincts reporting. Certainly not good for them with a showing of lack of excitement from the base.

Re: Repub nominee watch - Santorum sweeps mini-Tuesday
that is crazy, it shows how far right the republicans base is becoming. And there is the birth control debate, if the main issue becomes that for the Republicans, Obama will by a landslide. Over 80% of Americans support Birth Control and it is a losing issue for republicans.
