Rev wrote: What a game wouldn't mind seeing these two play again R u kidding? The game was a bore. It was very ugly to watch for a defensive game. Plus, AL won't win their division let alone the conference. So, hell no do they deserve Another shot.

 Re: 2011 College Football Season
OSU made this game ridiculously close. Randle could have dropped at the one and OSU run the clock down kick the winning fg. Let's score with 2:14 left and KSU marches to the 5...
What an escape.

 Re: 2011 College Football Season
What a horrible game between LSU and Alabama. Did they make a pact to not do anything for four quarters so it'll be a close game and voters can be swayed to put them both into the title game?

 Re: 2011 College Football Season
I'd take Oklahoma State and Oklahoma over both LSU and Alabama. And obviously Boise/Stanford.

I think Stanford can beat LSU. LSU has no offense, both of their QBs suck (at least they can't pass). I think Luck can lead Stanford over them.

 Re: 2011 College Football Season
I hope Alabama would lose another game to take themselves out of consideration. You don't deserve another chance when you lose at home and missed all those chances. And I do hope Georgia to run the table, including the SEC championship game, against either LSU or Arkansas, so the voters have to move Boise State up to be ahead of Georgia. And of course I'm pulling for Oregon to beat Stanford and Oklahoma to beat OSU for complete chaos.

I hope Boise is the only undefeated team left. Kellen Moore deserves a shot at a National Championship.

 Re: 2011 College Football Season
Well technically, Houston is likely to stay undefeated, although the last game at Tulsa could be tough, but nobody really cares there.

 Re: 2011 College Football Season
Joe, the person who saw it & told Joe and enyone else who knew about it and didn't call the police should all get fired for justice to happen. But it's college football so most likely nothing will happen. they gave him a slap on the wrist by only telling him not to bring kids to the school again. JESUS!

Penn State is going to HAVE TO clean house. Nothing else they can do. They're already trying to stop Paterno from talking (He will).

It's beyond disturbing what happened, and to a SLIGHTLY lesser degree that nobody said ANYTHING. What a JOKE.

 Re: 2011 College Football Season
I think they are going to have to let Paterno retire, firing him wouldn't be right considering all of his accomplishments. Maybe pressuring him into retiring a the end of the year and go out with some dignity. Honestly the GA student should have let to the police first, we have no idea what he told Joe but why didn't he go to the cops?

 Re: 2011 College Football Season
I don't know what to place in the 1998 incident, but regarding the one in 2002 I also believe the person at most blame besides Sandusky himself was the GA. This guy is the actual witness to the event. He Knows exactly what happened yet decides to run home to daddy and tell him. Then wait till the next day to tell Paterno for whatever reason. It such a bad turn of events for that to fall on Paterno's lap like that.
At first, I was of the feeling that Paterno is taking way to much blame for this and he didn't even commit the crime but with all the noise being made by reporters (news/sports) calling for him to resign, quit, be fired or what not I think it's in PSU and Paterno's best interest if he really cares about PSU to get out of the way and let the university start over.

 Re: 2011 College Football Season
It's really hard to believe all the people that still support Joe Paterno. Morally and ethically I don't know how he can live with the fact that he knew young kids were getting molested. I know you Joe Pa lovers out there will say..."he reported it"....but screw that. He has SOOOO much power there that he could have had Sandusky fired and arrested in a heartbeat. But he didn't.....and more kids were abused because of that.
Obviously in this whole situation Sandusky is the monster....but Joe Pa really had a chance to stop him and didn't.

Magnus wrote: Retiring at the end of the season? Bullshit. Resign right now. Paterno does not deserve the opportunity to lead his team to a potential Big 10 Championship or Rose Bowl win. I am okay with it because if Bernard Law could get a promotion to Rome after the crap he did in Boston than Paterno can retire at the end of the season. The Catholic church tried to sweep the whole thing under the rug and Law did much worse things than what Paterno did. At least, he is resigning Law and the church dragged it out for years and let it go to the civil courts before he got his nice promotion. You also could look at what is best for the kids playing there. They didn't do anything and if he quit now they would lose for certain on Saturday and the whole season would go down the drain for them.

 Re: 2011 College Football Season
I still think Paterno could (and should) be forced to resign by the end of the board of trustees meeting tonight. Look like Spanier will definitely be gone, and if you let Paterno stay until the end of the season, you're sending a very wrong message.
