 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Why would you kick down 8 with 3 minutes left? Maybe if you were down 6, it would still be dumb but not inconceivable. But when it still leaves you down a TD??? Houston's season will go down in flames again...

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Brady throws his first career red zone INT at home.
And I would be more pissed if the Patriots weren't getting the ball back after halftime.

Still have NO IDEA how the Giants lost, AT HOME, to SEATTLE.
WTF.

Their problem is Haley made the bonehead decision to treat the preaseaon and minicamp like it was scrimmage time. His players didn't even play in pads until the last week (outside of the games). They just weren't ready and it showed in those first two games. They did almost beat the Chargers in SD. I think the are a a 6-8 win team, could luck out and win 9 games but that is unlikely.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Packers are screwed. They already had lost too many people on D, now the anchor of the OL Chad Clfiton goes down and Rodgers is going to be under pressure all night. The D has to step up now or this game is going to be over soon.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Wow, how frustrated must Rodgers be right now. Finley drops a pass on the goal line and Driver drops a pass for a first down (a more difficult one than Finley's but still should have been caught. Nice game for the Packers kicker though...

Pack is showing some heart. I hope they can finish it. I love that Rodgers has receptions from 12 different players tonight.

And Packers are even better than last year. Looking at their schedule, they should go 14-2 at worst.

Unless he gets hurt, Rodgers is winning the MVP.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Good to see both 49ers and Raiders doing well. Thought Raiders would ride some emotions from Al Davis' passing. Now they have three straight home games against subpar opponents before going on the road to face the Chargers.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
The Packers COULD lose all their away division games. As long as Chicago/Minnesota RUN THE BALL. And they'll probably lose in SD. Other than that, they're fine.

If it was IN Oakland, maybe. But Oakland isn't nearly as good on the road.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Nah, not really. The record is deceiving. Giants got lucky this week and they beat a Philly team that is just not good. Our Team has no running game so opponents just have to wait for the mistakes of Eli and the receivers.

Yeah, this is an ugly fucking game. The Bears have terrible play-calling and the Lions have no discipline.

Lovie Smith always has to waste a challenge in the first quarter. It's his trademark.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
I take back what I said last night; if Calvin Johnson can somehow maintain this pace, he's winning the MVP.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Depends on his TD total at the end. It would have to be over 25.

I could see a situation where Rogers wins MVP and Johnson wins Offensive POY. Rodgers

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Great win by the Lions. With that D-Line... the GB O-Line is in TROUBLE.
Also, as much as ESPN slobbers over Rodgers and how much "better" he is playing than anyone else... Brady is literally RIGHT behind him in their OWN stat, the QBR.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
122.9 vs. 109.5. That's not exactly "RIGHT behind him". Alex Smith is closer to Brady than Brady is to Rodgers.
