 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Brady would SHRED the Ravens corners. And the difference between the defense that got crushed by the Ravens running game two years ago is EASY to see.

Granted, they've earned their reputation but there's no denying that they've disappointed in their last three trips to the post-season (four if you include their loss against Colts in 2006). There's more to to distrust this Patriots team in the postseason right now than trust it. I agree with that. The Pat's D has went through a lot of changes since their last SB title. They really haven't replaced the losses of Tedy Bruschi, Rodney Harrison, Richard Seymour and Asante Samuel. I don't see a true leader on that side of the ball, like Bruschi was. Nothing to worry about on Offense though, they will always be lethal.

It's clear the Pats D needs work. They just gave up 416 yards passing to Chad Henne.
Of course, Chippy will never admit this.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
If you actually WATCHED the game, you would have seen the Dolphins have a GREAT first drive. And then do absolutely NOTHING until about 9 minutes left in the game, when NE was playing a VERY soft defense.
And CowboyFromHell obviously knows nothing. They replaced Asante with McCourty (Upgrade), Harrison with Chung (Upgrade), Bruschi with Mayo (HUGE Upgrade). The only person they never replaced was Seymour. And they more or less just use 2-3 guys in his position now. So... You obviously don't know shit.

CLEARLY the way to win any ARGUMENT is just to RANDOMLY capitalize WORDS and call everyone else a DUMBASS.

The Patriots rebuilt an entire franchise in less than 4 years. When your defense is made up of young guys, you're going to struggle in big games.

Green Bay has one of the youngest teams in the league, and they won it all last year. I'm not buying that excuse.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Packers had three rookie starters last year. Bulaga (OT), Shields (#3 CB) and Zombo (OLB). Raji and Matthews were the only other starters with only one year of experience.
Patriots had five rookie starters. Two TE's, Two LB's and their #1 CB. They also had four other players with one year of experience.
Give me a break. Packers had three starters with 10+ yrs experience. Patriots had one. (Tom Brady)

How can Baltimore destroy the steelers and struggle with the Titans. Same for the Packers. Strange start for the season

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
The Chiefs are in a mess, they have lost three of their best players in the last 3 weeks with Jamaal Charles being the latest causality. All three injuries are ACLs, the Chiefs really missed camp the most because ACL injuries are from lack of conditioning usually. Oh well, I think the Chiefs should just tank this season and draft Luck next year.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
I don't think JC's injury was a lack of conditioning. It's not like the players weren't in the gym preparing. Anyway, I think it was more due to the ackward foot positions he had. They were extremely wide strides.

I also think the Chiefs did a horrible job preparing. They didn't practice in pads until the very end and treated the preseason games like scrimmages. So, I think they were never prepared this season. This will just be a lost season for them. I still think they have some great young players and have the pieces, but still need a QB which is why they ought to get Luck who I think will be a great pro QB.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Cassel was a perfectly fine QB last year. I think losing Charlie Weis hurt them more than anything.

trixster wrote: Cassel was a perfectly fine QB last year. I think losing Charlie Weis hurt them more than anything. Cassel played poorly the last 3 games last year. Most of the season they won games by running the ball. Teams have figured that out and are putting 8-9 guys in the box and are saying throw it. Cassel sucks and he is showing it this year. They won several games last year where they threw less than 20 times. Even if they had Weiss this year, they would still be playing bad.
