 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Did a little research on how relevant preseason week 3 is, since it's always touted as the "most comparable" to regular season...
In 2010: Win Game 3, 116-140 Lose Game 3, 140-116
In 2009: Win Game 3, 128-128 Lose Game 3, 128-128

RB Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans agreed on a 4yr., $53.5M deal ($30M guaranteed). CJ will make $13.3M per year.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
AFC
1. Steelers 2. Pats 3. Chargers 4. Colts 5. Jets 6. Ravens
Indy and Baltimore are on the ropes, but I just can't see any team in the AFC being strong enough to knock these six out. I think Houston, Tennessee, and Cleveland (very easy schedule until the last 4 weeks) will be the closest at 8-8.
NFC
1. Green Bay 2. Philly 3. New Orleans 4. St. Louis 5. Atlanta 6. Cowboys
Giants 9-7 and miss because of a tiebreaker. Lions have the best chance of breaking out, but they are the Lions so it probably won't happen.
Superbowl - Packers over Pats. The Packers brought back all their key guys and they're getting Grant back. If Woodson and Rodgers are healthy they have the best team in football. New England is the only team in the AFC that can beat Pittsburgh.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Glad preseason is FINALLY over. It was nice to see Haynesworth and Ellis playing tonight, getting some reps before the season. REALLY excited to see what Green-Ellis is going to do this year. Especially with younger complimentary backs in Ridley/Vereen.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Heading in to the regular season, I'd say the Packers look pretty good. My number 1 worry is the OL protecting Rodgers enough to keep him from getting several concussions like last year. The Packers coaching staff does such a great job developing young talent, they have some seriously tough choices to make the next few days. After tonight, Vic So'Oto has got to have a roster spot though. 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and an INT run back for a touchdown. Can't ask for more than that from a pro bowler, let alone a rookie.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Notable omissions from my predictions:
Dallas Cowboys - The secondary really has me concerned. Even with Rob Ryan, they really haven't showed me any improvement yet. Teams like Philly, Detroit, New Orleans & Atl with great recievers will give us trouble. I do think they'll have a winning record, but miss a Wild Card. Hope I'm wrong.
Houston Texans - Everyone seems to be picking them in the AFC South. I'm hesitant due to Arian Foster's hamstring injury, and because Wade Phillips is standing up Mario Williams on the edge. He just doesn't look comfortable to me. The pressure to win will be too much for this team to handle, imo.
Kansas City Chiefs - Charlie Weiss was a key part of their success last season. His time at Notre Dame is not a reflection of the kind of coach he is. He's a great offensive-mind and is a huge loss. KC's defense is suspect as well.
St. Louis Rams - Sam Bradford will have a good year, and Stephen Jackson will be fresher with a solid back-up now. Their success will hinge on the defense.

I don't see two teams in the South or West that will win more than 8 games. The Texans are predicted to break out every year and they never do. They need a coach who is a winner.
