Opens via Screen Gems on September 16th. Also set for the sixteenth: I Don't Know How She Does It (comedy with Sarah Jessica Parker), Johnny English Reborn (British comedy with Rowan Atkinson), Drive, and the 3-D re-release of The Lion King.

This looks effective, if an unnecessary remake. That said, it's opening over a crowded frame and may get lost in the shuffle.

Cold Creek Manor (8/21 mil.) numbers seem likely. Maybe a bit higher.

The trailer is good and the cast is solid, but if it's anything like the original than the mainstream won't dig it at all. I see Vacancy numbers at best.
If John Wick 2 even makes 30 million I will eat 1,000 shoes.

Beyond the whole "It's a remake! I'M SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW!" reaction, it seems quite good. Rod Lurie is a talented filmmaker.

I have nothing against remakes if they bring something new to the table. This looks to be adding absolutely nothing.

The tracking for this is much better than I expected. I'll admit the TV spots are really good. I certainly want to see it. Still can't see it doing as well as tracking suggests.

6 million for the weekend huh?? I'd say right there that this is a lesson that some movies shouldn't be remade and this is one of them apparently..
