Tomorrows Match-up is another Toss Up and on Monday, Game was Tied to 7th Inning, so Starters were a push. Anyway, on Baltimore, AS I CALLED IT, They are giving Boston a good series! PS. Gonzalez's average has been coming down, Tired? and Gun, you still happy Crawford is back? and Colon bounces back, as I said, lets see how he pitches in his next start. (Which is the big thing for the Yankees tonight) And too bad as 2 errors, ruin the Yankees gaining, but still only 1 Loss Behind.

Wrong? Were the Yankees winning after 6 innings? Yes? And they lost!? Sounds like a CHOKE to me. And with a Red Sox loss, a choke means you wasted a win to get even closer to the division lead. Oh well.

Oh well. wow, posted one of your longest posts ever...but now there is so much wrong with it.... by the 6th inning - wrong choke is when you blow a game you had already, and in a 1 run game, choke probably only happens in the 9th with 2 outs and no one on. and as a choke happens when you are ahead, look closer at the red sox game, where they were only down 3-2, and they gave up 3 runs on 2 homers in the 8th inning. and, your wrong? statement, wrong!

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
The only thing today did was lessen the Yankee's Wild Card lead to 3 teams. Ortiz returns in 1 game, Lester in 6 days, and Bucholtz in about 2 weeks. Considering all that we're still 12-3 this month.
Philly is the first team to 60 wins. And haha Grill how is a loss a bounce back for Colon? That's 3 straight losses. Sure it's better than .2 innings last week, but hardly a bounce back. It sounds like the early predictions of Colon and Garcia not being able to last pass June are starting to come true. They are 1-5 this month (And that one win is a squeak by against the Mets)

First, how about Aceves blowing yesterday game by giving up 2 homers in a 1 run game. And whatever on the Red Sox returning from injury, as just like Crawford, not hitting the 333 that he was doing when he went down! LOL, not sure why you thought he would. As that was a tough 0-4 yesterday. And on the pitchers, is this like Beckett last year, who you were predicting, would take the lead with a big second half....which failed and led to no Playoffs... And on Colon, if you had a understood baseball...Lets look at those starts.... Yesterday, 105 Pitches, 2 Earned Runs! AGAINST TAMPA, Not Baltimore who the Red Sox Blew their game against! SO PRETTY GOOD! Prior Game...Noticed you looked at the .2 but not all the UNEARNED RUNS. And I heard the manager speaking about the game, he said the defense played like shit and Colon could have gotten out of the inning with 0 runs! And based on that game, I even said, he will be fine vs Tampa!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then another game vs Tampa and 90 pitches. YES Tampa, as per the Yankees hard schedule. And an OK 5 runs allowed. PS. On the Red Sox last 5 games, Look at what the Red Sox Pitchers gave up....0/5/6/9/10....30 runs over 5 Games And at least, you are still holding true to your Yankees will falter, even though it doesn't shopw in the standings! LOL!

To that Red Sox Fan, who said I would never praised a Red Sox Player > Even though I did name 10 from Red Sox History, that he ignored!
Anyway, here is a question to Red Sox Fans > Who do you thinkis the Better Player: Ellsbury or Pedroia?
(Question is also for the Past, Present and Future! > Guess Pedroia wins the Past)

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Well Grill after today Crawford is 4 for 12 (.333) and 3RBIs in his first 3 games back.
Pedroia and Ellisbury are very different kinds of players, but they both play really hard and lead in their respected positions. It's easy to say Ellisbury has much more speed and Pedroia is a better hitter, but with the crazy dives/ grabs Pedroia has gotten recently and the record hitting year for Ellisbury, they are uncomparable but with them Youk, Ortiz, Gonzalez and now Crawford it is the most all around talent in each position, and I think it's pretty funny that they are probably the nicest bunch of guys in the league (Considering the talent, you'd think there would be a lot of egos.) Bottom line is that I hope they spend their whole careers here. Just catching and JD Drew needs some overhauls next year, Martinez left a hole and Reddick can take Drew's spot.
How about you Grill, who is better Granderson or Cano?
And LOL at the unearned runs, get over it, its your own player's fault, that's why its a team sport, and it happenned a week ago, move on.
On today's win, despite Miller's rough ERA before he was activated he is 4-1 with a 2.6 ERA, glad they got the kinks out of him

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
well Gun, whatever as he gives up 8 runs in 2 games vs Tampa. Doesn't seem like that is too bad...so I am wondering what you are looking at except for the 3 losses.
And on you blasting Garcia, wish I could stay home tonight and see if I was right last week...big deal, 1st game after the All Star Break, he will be fine next week. And he is playing Tampa again!
Also do you realize that Garcia has gone 5 + innings in 8 of his last 9 starts, and 7 out of 8 into the 6 inning, and still has a ERA of about 3.33!
Again, I am fine with that....
and on Crawford, he doesn't have to hit 333, but lets see if he gets back up to his 300 lifetime average by the end of the year. Think that is a fair milestone?

Wow, Neither Gun or Chippy showed up. I know they would have if Yankees or Garcia Bombed.
Here Gun, I will give you a Softball > Can you believe Garcia gave up more hits, 8, than Strike Outs,7, in only 6 2/3 innings the Bum. And I know you would ignore the shut-out or his ERA of 3.33!
Anyway, as you pointed out, only thing that matters who wins! And that was the Yankees, who now has a 7 game lead in the loss column! (ps...let me know when your experts agree the Yankees are a solid team and aren't going to fade this year!)

How about you Grill, who is better Granderson or Cano? Thinking about that, I have a question, who would you take, this year? For this year, these numbers may give the edge to the Yankees? Both play, excellent defense... and on offense, the Yankee players are having great years... Granderson - In the MVP Race????? avg - 272 hr 26 - 2ND IN MLB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rbis - 78 - 3rd in AL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! run - 85 - 1st in AL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cano avg - 291 hr - 16 rbis - 61 run - 59

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Granderson has 70 RBIs, and that .272 average is kind of ugly, for MVP unless Gonzalez has some injury he pretty much has it in the bag.
And you never answered my question, who is better?

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Wow, two measly hits and we still win the game. Weaver keeps getting better and better (CJ did well, but that unearned run cost him). Great series win to keep our hopes alive. Now let's go to Baltimore and give them payback to what they did to us last year.

And you never answered my question, who is better? Wow, Whatever after you ignored my follow-up on Garcia. Guess it hurts being wrong so often? Anyway, easy question! Granderson for this year as Cano is too spotty with too many holes right now (based on he swings at everything), but Cano for the long term as he has unlimited talent. UNLIMITED!!!!!!! Didn't you see how even Ortiz was going crazy over Cano's Homers in the Home Run Derby!
