Good luck Texas! longest win streak of the year is on the line, Phillies no matter how awesome they are got lit up last night. The Highlights were so bizarre, I never saw so many dumb plays. Sox have a chance to be #1 team in baseball today with 5 starters gone, We need some back though, The loss of Beckett, Bucholtz, and Lester is not leaving me too positive, but our hitting is really saving us now, I think we are averaging 7.5 runs a game now. well Gun, No Mention that the Yankees are still only 1 Loss Behind the Red Sox. And on the Yankees 24 runs given up. CC pitched great. and Colon could have been out of the 1st game with 0 runs but an error lead to 5 unearned runs. Not sure about Garcia...Anyway, as this was after the All Star break, want to see how they go in their next start. and talking about that, when the Red Sox gave up 14 runs in 2 games. Whatever Gun. Except LOL! and on the Red Sox pitching, same old story, Beckett can't make it through a whole year, Buch is questionable when he can come back, Dice Out, Lackey, lucky yesterday and wouldn't even make the Yankees Starting 5, Wakefield has an ERA close to 5, Lester hurt in last start, so lets see if any lasting injury. Miller looked horrible against Tampa. Just some for starters...as someone said, you never look at both sides....

Yanks Have a Nice Day with an Easy Win, 7-2...and hopefully Hughes is back, as he got 3 starts in after coming back from injury. Next up, Tampa, which should be a good series. Also looking forward to Baltimore and Boston...and if Baltimore gives Boston any payback for the Boston Cheap Shots, in their last series. Especially with this happening today > http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=A ... s-guerreroBALTIMORE (AP)—Orioles designated hitter Vladimir Guerrero has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a broken bone in his right hand. Guerrero has not played since being struck in the hand by a pitch from Boston’s Kyle Weiland on July 10. He’s batting .279 with seven homers and 31 RBIs. And This Powerful Pitching Match-up! BOS: T. And yet the Yankees still can't beat us. 54-26 since the first 12 games.
Beckett is pitching tonight, hopefully he's good, and Crawford is back on Monday, though even though he's hit .333 since getting hot, Reddick is nice, maybe they can bench JD Drew for a while.
Looking good for Texas right now!

Looking good for Texas right now! Whatever, until the Red Sox get a worthy lead. And on Crawford and others, so you expect Crawford to pick up where he left off a month ago? Hitting 333 over a short period, or about 240 for the season. Plus, with the hamstring, you have to see how that goes?

No, you pointed out the bad ERA's for Boston's pitching. But then failed to point out that 1. The opposing pitchers are just as bad and 2. Baltimore sucks, really bad.

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Points from last night's 16 inning, Boston and Tampa Game...
- Hopefully both teams mess up there next series, especially with Yanks playing Tampa.
- I was torn who I wanted to win...Boston wins, Yanks have a 6 game W/C lead. Tampa Wins, Yanks Tie Red Sox in losses again.
- on the game, great pitching but questionable umpires - Boston gets 12 walks to tampa 1. Not wonder Tampa Mgr got thrown out of the game.
- I know everytime I turned on the game on MLB, the Red Sox were getting ball called on close pitches.
and i think gun jinxed Boston, as last night the bats fell asleep.

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
All I can tell from that game, other than it was the longest scoreless game since 1916, Pedroia was disgusting with his grabs and I thought the game was over (So did Upton haha) and Reddick made an awesome catch. I think Miller is pretty good for only playing 5 games and the other guy is not really ratable yet in the Majors, Minor League ERA doesn't really concern me, and Wakefield is Wakefield (though his 2.9 ERA for his last 10 games is pretty impressive)

It was just great pitching last night, and usually when games go into extra innings both teams offenses go into the tank.

Big series against LAA. A sweep here would be HUGE. Gives us a 7-game lead over them. Yep, this is a big series for the both of us. Not to mention that we play each other 10 more times after this. I'll be at Tuesday's game.

Yes, he pays off the opposing pitchers in a tie game to walk his players.

He actually planned for the game to be tied at 7 going into the 8th, and made sure that Baltimore put in their worst pitchers. All this while leaking the Avengers trailer.

Tampa lost to the Yankees because Tampa has played bad baseball since the AS break. And by your theory, Boston should have lost tonight too. Because they were oh so tired.

Ask Boston Fans if they liked giving up all those runs to Baltimore....as you even said they stunk! And to Gun and those experts, so when are the Yankees suppose to start losing...and now this is without AROD! and JOBA, who a RS fan, made a big deal about, LOL! Anyway, after 93 Games, still only 1 LOSS behind the Red Sox.... and now a 7 GAME LEAD IN THE WILDCARD!
