good show so far, wonder what's the format next week, will America vote or judges?
Starting next week there will be results shows on Wednesdays. America will continue to vote.
But isn't the finale June 29th?

Well, look at that. The 8 best singers are the top 8. Who woulda thunk.

Re: The Voice - Season One
Loved Vicci, Dia and Bev tonight. Javier too, although not as much as those three. Who will probably be the four to move on. Everyone else was at least good (Frenchie, Nakia, Xenia, Casey) but not as good as their counterparts.
Blake's proud papa routine is so endearing. lol.
I snickered when Adam guessed Nakia "probably" sang Whataya Want from Me better than the original singer. Poor guy has no idea what he's in for, the Glamberts will never leave him alone now, ever.
Looooooove Moves Like Jagger! Maroon 5 and dance music, I can get on board with that.
Someone fire Carson Daly and that awful Twitter woman, please.

Re: The Voice - Season One
I could go into my thoughts on the show, but I'll just go with a quick "What Libs said".
I do have to add that Adam somehow managed to look extra sexy last night, I think it was the shirt. Meow.
The Maroon 5 song reminded me of "Makes Me Wonder", kind of, which is fine by me because I enjoy that song. Would have liked to hear Christina more, though, now she just kind of came in at the end, sang one verse and that was pretty much it.
The Voice iTunes rankings:
9. Losing My Religion – Dia Frampton 10. Fix You – Javier Colon 13. Moves Like Jagger [feat. Christina Aguilera] – Maroon 5 14. Honey Bee – Blake Shelton 18. Dog Days Are Over – Vicci Martinez 35. Heartless – Dia Frampton 36. The Man Who Can’t Be Moved – Xenia 49. Angel – Javier Colon 61. I Will Always Love You – Casey Weston 66. The Thrill Is Gone – Beverly McClellan 76. Jolene – Vicci Martinez 85. Price Tag – Xenia 93. Whataya Want From Me – Nakia 123. Like a Prayer – Frenchie Davis
Considering the continued strength of Heartless and the fact that she's outselling Javier now, I think Dia could actually be capable of beating the "obvious winner", Javier.

It ain't the first time Adam's version has been sent hiding behind a wall. Pink did a better version too. I don't even think of Whattaya as a Lambert song. It's a Pink song for me all the way.

Haven't seen the latest episode yet, but based on those iTunes rankings Dia seems to be winning so far. I'm fine with that.

Xenia is horrible as is Casey. They are the clear weak links here and need to go.

Re: The Voice - Season One
I like Casey but there was an overuse of vibrato last night. And Xenia is not horrible, she's just way too young and timid still. There were parts of the performance that sounded really good.
Neither of them have any chance of making the finals, though. Javier and Dia are locked, and I'm guessing Vicci and Bev will join them.
Javier is winning, unless Dia picks ANOTHER great song next week.

Re: The Voice - Season One
As I said yesterday, Blake's affection for his two girls is like the cutest thing I've ever seen. Who knew. Anyway, Dia rightfully advanced although I did like the tone of Xenia's voice. She just needs some serious maturing and practice, and the poor girl was probably relieved as anything to get booted. She also got a surprisingly large amount of the audience vote.
I was sorta impressed by Adam being the only judge ballsy enough to "play the game" by giving Javier such a high score and Casey such a low one, although I felt bad for Casey.
Vicci over Nakia was fairly obvious.
Beverly over Frenchie was tougher, although I thought Beverly gave the better performance last night. On an unrelated note, Christina probably looked the least ridiculous on tonight's episode she has in a while.
All of the top four are actually pretty good. I've been surprisingly impressed by this show. Except for, you know, Carson. And Twitter Girl. In fact, the entire Twitter angle is so laughable and awful all at once.

They took the Twitter/Red Room thing from the original Dutch version that started here last year. It was equally unbearable then as it is now. The only time it worked was during the finale, and only because besides the dunce they'd placed there and the contestants, both Duffy and Adele were there at the same time and my brain just kind of couldn't take the amount of awesome.

I feel like the Twitter woman is being held prisoner in the room. She's certainly frantic enough during her brief moments of camera time.

The right people got through for the finals, without question. Will be interesting to see who takes home the top prize, I think Dia has a bigger shot than Javier at this point in all seriousness.
Go DIA it's between her and Javier, but hopefully she has the edge on twitter and javier song was good but not great performance he seemed sorta nervous

Carson is especially awful tonight.
Also, who's excited to see Xenia on tour?! "Everybody look to the left....everybody look to the right...
I'm a fan of the final four though as well.

Javier's solo performance was a little flat (although I still like him). Really enjoyed the Dia/Blake duet, though. I love I Won't Back Down (and Tom Petty obvi) and that was a pretty fresh rendition.

Beverly and Xtina's duet was lovely. As was Dia's performance. Think I probably want her to win. Although Adam and Christina were totally right about the distracting shadowy mime things in the background.

Re: The Voice - Season One
How does the voting work this week? Can we just base it on the solo single's iTunes performance? Because Dia's kicking some serious ass on there.
iTunes Rankings – The Voice Final: 2. Inventing Shadows (The Voice Performance) - Dia Frampton 4. Stitch By Stitch (The Voice Performance) - Javier Colon 18. Man In the Mirror (The Voice Performance) - Adam Levine & Javier Colon 22. Afraid to Sleep (The Voice Performance) - Vicci Martinez 23. I Won't Back Down (The Voice Performance) - Blake Shelton & Dia Frampton 34. Beautiful (The Voice Performance) - Christina Aguilera & Beverly McClellan 50. Lovesick (The Voice Performance) - Beverly McClellan
The Dia/Blake duet was my favourite thing of the night. The intro package was great to watch, and I almost teared up when Dia did. So adorable. And Blake's a fantastic live performer.
I also really, really liked Dia's song, I hope she wins and goes on to great success. She does need to work on her breathing a bit, she tends to kind of inhale loudly in the mike a lot.
On a completely unrelated note, I keep reading the name of Javier's song as "Stich My Bitch". Maybe I'd be more interested if that was the actual song title.

Dia has 4 songs in the top 60 on iTunes and her song from last week is above beverly's song from this week

All current The Voice songs on iTunes:
Quote:
1 Dia Frampton Inventing Shadows (The Voice Performance) 1.000000 3 Javier Colon Stitch By Stitch (The Voice Performance) 0.757928 6 Maroon 5 Moves Like Jagger (The Voice Performance) [feat. This one is Dia's to lose. I'll watch the episode in half an hour. They really pick some weird songs (as in not usually performed in these type of shows).

ROFL. Those are original songs. I was reading the titles and thinking where the fuck did they find these songs I've never heard of. What's with Carson Daly's voice? It's kinda too pitchy.
