One of my favorites of the season. Nice way to end the season.

Re: Modern Family - Season 2
A series finale? No way. It didn't feel like a season finale episode at all. That being said it was a stepdown from a stretch of hilarious laugh-out-loud episodes IMHO. I didn't laugh much, I was more asking myself if Jay's face is usually that crooked or if he really used botox and the whole thing went wrong and they just implemented that into the story.

Yeah, for the most part last night's episode wasn't that funny.

Well, last night's episode was one that went for heart more than belly laughs. At which it succeeded, particularly the little moments between Phil/Claire and Haley/Alex.

Re: Modern Family - Season 2
The season finale was everything I love about this show.
Hilarious moments: -Cam's phone conversation with Manny being misinterpreted, -Phil repeatedly admonishing the broken step ("Not now!") -Gloria asking Lily how she got there, as if she came on her own -Luke: "I'm going to need 2 hours. And then another 2 hours." -Mitchell: "Where'd you learn to open a wine bottle like that?" Claire: "Where'd you get a sailor suit on such short notice?" -Jay: "I'm acting like a jerk. What am I, 12?" Luke: "Hey!"
And the sweet, heartwarming moments: -Phil being so adorable to Claire -Cam and Manny's chat prompting the two to decide to have another baby (a boy!)

Cam's phone conversation had me laughing out loud. I thought the "sexy phone" bit was funny too. I'm so sick of the step gag though. It has gotten incredibly old . Overall it was a very good finale.

Good finale. I loved the videos they filmed. They kinda managed to go back to one of the most hilarious things each character did throughout the season. "Hay" parrot made a comeback!!!

Re: Modern Family - Season 2
I wouldn't argue the step gag is hilarious, but it does seem there is always that one thing in every house that is broke, but never gets fixed for some odd reason. I know I have a "broken step" in my house. But, I'm sure they have it there more as a sitcom device that can be used as needed to create a variety of situations. Definitely doesn't do any harm.
Anyhow, there is no classy way to say this, but I must point out that the two greatest things on TV these days is Sofia's chestal region.

I love the step gag. It's my favorite part of the show. Outside of what Tony just mentioned.
