Loved this one. Another episode a bit light on the laughs at the expense of some dramatic heft, but HIMYM does that well. John Lithgow is just, you know, the man. And he didn't disappoint. NPH did some very fine work in this episode too. It was cool things weren't tied into a tidy little bow at the end, which is cliched but so untrue to life.

Yeah I loved this episode too. Probably one of the best Barney episodes.

By far the worst episode of the season. What the hell was that??? It felt like a bad parody of HIMYM.

We must have been watching different episodes or something. I thoroughly enjoyed that episode, probably one of my favorites of the season.

Really enjoyed last night's episode too. John Lithgow is fabulous (no surprise there), and this storyline is bringing out some great work from NPH too.

I loved the "new intro" with the gang singing the theme song.

The origin of Ted's hideous cowboy boots. And Robin's "secret crush" was cute.

Also, loved the discussion between Barney, Ted, Robin, Marshall and Lily about what club to go to.

The rock band intro was wild. Though for some reason it looked like a random shout out to Rita Rocks. I never saw a single episode of that show but the whole intro looked very much like the trailer they've been showing on Fox Life here.

Anyway, better episode than the one before, but it still lacked the usual HIMYM charm.

The club discussion and intro were awesome. As were the return of the boots!

Loved Barney/Marshall fighting, Lily/Robin worrying about their booth being taken, everyone on different alcohol especially Barney as Richard Dawson

I enjoyed that Lily and Robin were kinda front and center of this one. Funny episode.

I thought that may have been one of the worst episodes of any show I've seen in my life. That was so bad it was painful. They need to get rid of zooey asap. She was obviously lying at the hotel.

I liked the return of cockamouse. I liked the whole different booze effects. But that's pretty much it. HIMYM needs to really pick it up for these last stretch of episodes.

Nice season finale. The red herring with food poisoning was obvious, but yay! Lily's pregnant!

And I thought the way he met the "mother" was nice, even if he was joking about it and that wasn't the mother. It just reminded me how cute this show can be, a feeling that was missing though most part of the second half of the season.

Hopefully Barney is marring Nora. I like her. And 7 years in I think we had enough of nose pulls from HIMYM.

Agreed on this. I was happy to see Barney being the groom. Dunno how to feel about the possibility the bride is Robin. We'll see how next season develops. My early guess right now is that it's Barney and Nora's wedding, but Barney and Robin are going to end up together (i.e. the wedding won't happen).

Lily is pregnant! Also yay.

Ted didn't get back together with Zoey! Triple yay.
