Thia picked a strange song to sing. I thought she did okay. I was very surprised how emotional she was afterward . She seems to lack confidence because the judges didn't really dislike the performance.

I didn't get Stefano's performance. It was alright.

Karen picked a good song she just didn't do it that well.

I like how Steven tells her that "we'll see you next week." How comforting .

I thought to myself that Garth was one of the artists that Scotty should stick with but this is ridiculous. He has limited range. I didn't like his version of The River. Disagree with the judges here. They are just lavishing him with praise to keep country viewers tuned it. That has to be the reason. Ugh!

Adedapo sang okay but I wasn't happy with the song choice. I like her story but idk what she should be singing after this Rhianna song .

Pia and James were my top 2.

Watching currently... so far Thia and Lauren are my bottom 2. I do agree with your top 2 though. But I really enjoyed Haley and Casey.

Thia, Karen and Lauren are my bottom 3. My least favorites. Though probably not the shows bottom 3.

The thing with Scotty is... he does what he does the best out of any of the 13. Unless he strays away from country, which he won't.

Casey Abrams was my favorite last night, one of the best performances I've seen from Idol in a long time. This season has been very good so far.

I think James could cover that song and release it to radio right now and it would be very successful. That was a great performance.

I had to watch the show fast with a lot of fast forwarding. But the standouts for me were Casey, James, and Pia.

My problem with Casey is that I was a big Taylor Hicks fan, and Taylor was a very nice genuine guy with not much ego. Casey is more sarcastic and has a little bit of an ego. Either way he won't be successful unless they handle him better than they handled Hicks (there were radio friendly songs on his album, but they never got a chance, weird.)

Pia was great, though the song was repetitive, she was very impressive.

James was excellent.

Naima did better than I expected of her, so kudos there.

Lauren Alaina - Effortlessly done. I liked it. Though slightly less good than last week. But this girl is soooooo good and soooo charming.

Casey Abrams - It ain't even a competition this year. I love Casey. I haven't been following AI. Started with season 9. But basing on the people I know, he's only behind Kelly Clarkson for me.

Ashthon Jones - I don't get this girl at all. I just don't like her voice and I don't think she sings good (she sounds slightly off key all the time to me). Also she irritates me.

Paul McDonald - I don't get him either. He acts like he's on dope while on stage (I loved Ryan's enactment of Paul it was sooooo funny.). And I'm not sure what he's doing is actual singing.

Pia Toscano - I think the judges are being too good to hear. Good singing, but there are people here who deserve more praise than they get. But the girl has powerful voice.

James Durbin - Love this guy too.

Haley Reinhart - Great stuff girl. The ououou-ou-ou-ou parts were awesome.

Jacob Lusk - This song was a bad choice for him. It just didn't work. I'm actually glad it was all over the place.

Thia Megia - I loved the beginning. But I didn't really like when the music changed. Felt a bit pitchy. But Thia can sing...

Stefano Langone - Just like with Thia, the arrangement of the song didn't work for me. Stefano was good. But still a middle-tier as far as boys go.

Karen Rodriguez - Good performance. But she didn't amaze me.

Scotty McCreery - I wished theme weeks would start this week. But they let all contestants stay in their safe zone. Scotty can't go wrong with country, but I really want to see how he handles theme weeks.

Naima Adedapo - She can dance? Hmmmm. Didn't look like that type... A decent performance. And then came the breakdown - awesome. And she went back to Rihanna. And it was slightly worse than the first time. But I don't get why people choose Rihanna's songs. Those songs just aren't suitable for live (non prerecorded vocal background) performances.

Overall, a very good night.

That was a great performance by Adam Lambert tonight. I agree with the Ashthon leaving tonight, and agree with the judges for not saving her.

America chose the right person to vote out. She really was weak.

Adam was really great last night.

The acoustic version he did on Idol last night was amazing. Loved it.

This is a vocal competition and the clear stand outs are Pia and Durbin.

Apparently, Pia is a wedding singer and she has some stuff on youtube. She blows all the other females away vocally based on what we've seen throughout the competition. Durbin's performance was impressive and if it was on itunes I definitely would have got it.

I don't get all the love for Casey. He is an excellent performer on stage. I give him that, but vocally he isn't anywhere near the top 2 I mentioned. I doubt he'll win and he might not even last the whole competition based on his recurring stomach ailment.

Pia has the pipes. But I don't think she's very likable. She's going to go in the Top 5-6.

First purchase since the Lambert period.

I find Pia quite to be very friendly. She hasn't shown anything otherwise. She doesn't have to be cutesy like Lauren who's 16 to be considered likable.

I found the singles.

I haven't been able to read an ounce of Pia's personality yet. She just sings great and is there. That's all.

Mmhm. I want to like her, but you need to give me something to go on besides the voice. And she's giving me nothing.

Then again, she reminds me of Katherine McPhee, and look where she ended up.

My favs are Lauren, Casey, James and Haley. Naima's on Wednesday was kind of fun and unexpected. I dug it. Paul's a wannabe. Scotty's a saving grace for the country crowd, and while I can't stand it, he does it well. I prefer my country with more soul (Johnny Cash) and perhaps a bit of pop (Carrie, Taylor, Antebellum).

The rest are okay.

Naima - a mess. Interesting adaptation of the song, but the Lopez and Randy were right, vocally it was a mess. Possible bottom 3.

Paul - Well, it was better than Naima. He just looks so awkward with his movements on stage. But he's very likable and his personality is infectious. He's not going anywhere.

Thia - safe, boring song choice. She has a lovely voice but it's not what people listen to right now. If she makes it this week, she'll take the judges advice and change it up, and totally suck. That's my prediction.

James - the judges over-praised him, but he was the best so far. Steven saying he would join him on stage pretty much guarantees he gets the most votes tonight.

Haley - karaoke. I didn't like it.

Stefano - Good. Over-praised by the judges, but it was good.

Pia - Awesome. For me definitely the best of the night so far. She might have the best vocals I've ever heard on the show (I started watching the season Taylor Hicks won).

Scotty - singing country, big surprise. He was good. You know, I think I can take one country song a week.

Karen - She hit a great note, then she switched to Spanish. She should have sang this one all in English. But it was still pretty good.

Casey - did he just say Casey is doing Nirvana while playing electric bass? So that could have been amazing but wasn't. It was still good. But I'm getting a little sick of his angry "singing".

Lauren - Very good. She would have been totally awesome with that song if she wasn't sick.

Jacob - Good. But he's so over the top I can't root for him.

I can't see any of the guys going home tomorrow, and the only one that might IMO is Stefano.
As for the girls, the only ones that I think are completely safe are Lauren and Pia, the rest could all very easily be going home. I have a feeling it will be either Naima or Thia though.

Pia was okay but still very good.
Lauren was very good even with the supposed flu.
Paul was better. The song worked.
James was very good. He can really control a crowd.
Thia was bland. She just stands there and sings. That's a one way ticket to Broadway. She also picks bad songs to sing.
Casey was eh but he just performs rather than sings. Plus, it was screechy.
Nadaima's performance I missed.
Stefano sang okay but I didn't get all the praise.
Lusk performed Alone admirably. It was better than expected for me.
Hailey did better than the judges gave her credit for.
Karen tried to do a big song but it's clear she doesn't have the voice to do them.
Scotty did his thang and it was fine. How about he hold some notes longer than a second like J.Lo suggested.

Everyone was pretty good. Nobody really stood out as not good.

The thing with Haley... Yeah, she goes from genre to genre, which I like. Maybe the judges want her to just sing what they want? lol

Naima Adedapo - Very mediocre, borderline terrible, performance. I hated the music. It was unrecognizeable.

Paul McDonald - He should stop drinking before he goes out on stage. There has gotta be some other way to fight the jitters. But this was slightly better than what he usually delivers (despite him being sick).

Thia Megia - Very nice performance. But it didn't have anything to blew me.

James Durbin - He's definitely my favorite with Casey. He was great as always.

Haley Reinhart - OK performance. Slightly boring.

Stefano Langone - I never warmed up to him. He's kinda always too shouty and high for me. This performance was no exception. The judges are crazy for this guy though.

Pia Toscano - This girl sings well, but I'm still completely indifferent towards her. She doesn't have IT.

Scotty McCreery - Well done Scotty.

Karen Rodriguez - This one has seen much better days. What happened? The bilingual schtick is also a tired trick already.

Casey Abrams - Awwww, Casey? No. This didn't work at all. Sorry. This risk didn't pay off.

Lauren Alaina - She made a fan out of me with her rendition of Turn On the Radio. But these past two weeks I just don't feel her as much.

Jacob Lusk - I love Alone. It has become one of my all time favorites. I didn't like what Jacob didn with it.

Not a good night I'm afraid.

Karens gone. She sang pretty well on this show but there's no way they could use the save on her this early.

It's about time. She was easily my least favorite.
