DAAAA US Prez says Egypt should have a More Responsible Govt
Sht, has he looked at how many people are just as unhappy with his leadership? And how he forces his agenda down people's throats.

Last poll I see shows that he's doing better than Reagan, Clinton, Carter, and Bush I at this time in their Presidencies. Oh, right! I forgot that you never acknowledge facts. My bad.

So I guess you really have the problem with Obama. Why do you capitalize words that are not proper nouns or at the beginning of sentences? Is it because you are writing on a cell phone with predictive text activated?

Re: DAAAA US Prez says Egypt should have a More Responsible
I could not find the most recent chart, but this one shows that as of two months ago, Obama was higher rated than Ford, Clinton, and Reagan at that term in their Presidencies. Since the time of that chart, Obama has risen above 50% (beating Carter) and George HW Bush dropped to below 50%. (GW Bush was admittedly still riding high because of 9/11 but we all know that he ended up as one of the least-liked Presidents ever.) So claiming that everyone hates Obama and he is doing terrible compared to other recent President just has no basis in fact. He's doing better than any President since Ford at this point in their term (with the exception, as I said, of GW Bush after 9/11).

I still don't get how G.H.W.B. was beaten by Clinton, his credentials and approval rating were amazing.

I call bullshit. Nobody enjoys getting paid less money.
And if you truly enjoy paying taxes, why don't you donate MORE of your money to the U.S. Treasury? That's always an option.

Re: DAAAA US Prez says Egypt should have a More Responsible
Actually, it is not bullshit. I don't think more money to me is going to make a better society. I'd probably do nothing with it anyways. But I have a low income, so I feel the tax on me is about fair, I could donate a little more, but I probably won't anyways. Perhaps I will in the future once I land a more sustainable job.
You seem like an econ nerd, how do you donate more money to the treasury? Is it an option on the tax form? Because I have yet to see it, although I usually skim through them.

Re: DAAAA US Prez says Egypt should have a More Responsible
You can donate to treasury to pay down the national debt: https://www.pay.gov/paygov/forms/formIn ... d=23779454You could also always claim more income than you actually had on your tax return. Quote: But I have a low income, so I feel the tax on me is about fair, I could donate a little more, but I probably won't anyways. Hence my bullshit comment. Quote: Perhaps I will in the future once I land a more sustainable job. If you have a higher paying job you will automatically pay more taxes. The good people in the government already took care of that for you!

Re: DAAAA US Prez says Egypt should have a More Responsible
I heard today that the leak about Saudi Arabia's oil reserves was based on an error by the State Department: Quote: But a conversation this morning with the man whose comments set off the furore revealed a Chinese-whispers chain that ended up giving the apparent imprimatur of the U.S. diplomatic service to a misunderstanding over oil figures.
The story starts back in 2007 when U.S. diplomats had a chat with Abdullah al-Saif, head of exploration at Saudi Arabian Oil Company, commonly known as Saudi Aramco.
He told them that the kingdom had 716 billion barrels of oil –- a figure that would rise to 900 billion in about 20 years.
Enter Sadad al-Husseini, a predecessor of Mr. al-Saif as Saudi Aramco’s exploration head, and pretty much the only company insider ever to speak in public. In the past he has been skeptical of some Saudi forecasts on how much oil it can pump and is regarded within the industry as a careful, knowledgeable man.
Asked by the American diplomats what he thought of Mr. al-Saif’s statements, he made what appeared an extraordinary statement: that the reserves figure was inflated by 300 billion barrels. Deducting that figure from the 716 billion barrels created the idea that Saudi reserves were 40% less than it officially said.
As it turns out, however, Mr. al-Husseini’s memory of that conversation is rather different.
He says he has no dispute with Aramco’s official reserves data, but disagrees with Mr. al-Saif’s projection for the future and with the diplomats’ characterization of its existing 716 billion barrels as “reserves”.
In fact, he says, that figure refers to “oil in place” which includes both recoverable and non-recoverable oil. http://blogs.wsj.com/source/2011/02/09/saudi-oil-reserves-and-the-wikileaks-chinese-whispers-effect/

No, Caius, this does not compute with the Peak Oil doomsday crowd. You must not use facts and reason when addressing them.
