 Re: 2010 College Football Season
Auburn needed overtime to beat CLEMSON.
CLEMSON!!!
And Oregon needed a missed FG by Cal to win.
CAL!!!

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
You're a fool.
We're not talking about Boise. We were talking about Nevada. You can't say "Nevada barely beat Fresno State" and gloss over that Auburn and Oregon both escaped BAD teams.
But what should I expect from you.

Is it that hard to recruit a fucking kicker?
My god. Fire Rich Rod. Bring in Harbaugh.

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
Well, I was extremely disappointed to wake up this morning and check the football scores to find that Boise St lost.
Apparently, just like Alabama they build a lead but couldn't protect it. They even could have won the game but the kicker misses an extra point type FG. How upsetting is all that? They went from playing in a possible NC or most likely the Rose Bowl to playing in a crap bowl. Oy. I would so depressed today if I was on that team.
The big winner in all this is TCU. We'll at least get to see them probably shut out a Big 10 team. Who knows. That will be exciting to watch.
Looking ahead, I'm going to enjoy the OSU v OU Bedlam game tonight. A game for all the marbles essentially in the Big 12. I guess there's still a smidgen of a chance that Oregon or Auburn could lose but even if they did would it be possible that either of them still be ahead of a TCU or LSU?
I'm also looking foward to the SEC title game, Big 12 title game, Rose Bowl, NC game and hopefully whatever BCS that OSU or OU goes to assuming they win the Big 12 over Nebraska.

PLEASE read "Death to the BCS" before you start talking about how a 16 team playoff would be a "joke".
You're making yourself sound idiotic.

Though if we start seeing super-conferences, then automatic qualifers for super-conference champions should be given. completely agree. Also, much respect to TCU, today announcing they will move to the Big East. This is what I respect about TCU, they don't whine, complain, any of that like Boise does. They got out do they're stuff and realize that hey, if they want to be big, get in a big conference. The Big East may be pretty bad this year but it is head over heels better than the awful schedule TCU played this year.

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
TCU's football schedule was comparable to any Big East teams schedule this year. In fact, they prolly would have rolled that conference too. Big East is down folks. Why do you think they added them?

And when they get caught (and most don't), they usually don't get punished if they are a great player because in the end, college sports is a business and no business wants to eliminate their best assets. yet you still talk as if its always going to happen and that's ok because that's just the way it is , NCAA lacks honesty and integrity I'm done with em. BTW there is such thing as honest business.

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
So, let me get this straight. Corruption in college football (and other college sports) are a given, so there's nothing one can do about giving money to players (a move only big schools with big checkbooks can afford). Yet small schools are always shut out because they play weaker schedules. Hyprocites, I say
