The most consistent SNL episode this season - - consistently bad. This one just plain stunk.

The band was amateurish and lousy, the fake commercial sucked, and even the normally reliable Scarlett Johansson was off last night, she looked sick - - is there something wrong with her?

Not one redeeming moment.

The Unstoppable spoof was great. Arcade Fire's "Sprawl II" is an amazing song.

Everything else = meh

I'm excited for next Saturday's episode. Florence + the Machine!

I've watched SNL since 1995. Without any hyperbole, last night's episode was the worst episode of Saturday Night Live I've seen.

Arcade Fire didn't help. I was hoping the lead singer would crack his skull when he climbed into the audience. You don't see enough skull cracking on live television.

Just watched ScarJo. I had to see it to believe it. Whoa, what a show. The last skit (ceramic busts) is a classic example of what's wrong with SNL at its worst: taking a one-joke sketch (and the joke itself, Scarlett's character, was barely funny to begin with) and re-doing it without ever making improvements on the original idea.

On the plus side, I wish Jay Pharoah's Denzel had his own show. Or that Jay Pharoah replaced Denzel Washington in all his movies.

I loved the Megamart Black Friday commercial in the Anne Hathaway episode - - the rest, not so much.

I'd watch a show starring Jay Pharoah's Denzel and Vanessa Bayers' Miley Cyrus.

Speaking of Jay Pharoah, he's easily the best black cast member since Eddie Murphy. It'll be interesting to see him with non-impersonation recurring sketches though.

Robert De Niro hosts for the third time on Saturday. I thought he was rumored to be a pain in the ass on his first show? Now he's hosting for the third time.

Paul Rudd hosts for the second time on the 11th, with Jeff Bridges hosting for his second time (and first solo) on the 18th.

Another laugh-free episode.

DeNiro better keep his day job.

I'm excited for tonight's episode because of Paul McCartney.

"Jet" was nearly destroyed by the terrible sound mix.

That and his voice sucks tonight. The songs weren't in their normal keys (I'm guessing they haven't been, at least live, for a few years now) and he's in a completely different key altogether. At least he's singing live though. Can't give him too much shit for that.

Paul sounds fine, IMO, though the band harmonies aren't spot-on tonight.

I'm a long time McCartney fan and agree with you 100% - - he sounded terrible last night.

Just watched (or skipped much of) last week's episode. DeNiro's hosted three times now. Can someone tell Lorne that he just sucks on a live sketch comedy? And the DeNiro name hardly carries weight anymore. Maybe fifteen, twenty years ago. You don't have to keep getting him to host and make it seem like he's a big get.

Good episode tonight. Carrey was great, the Black Keys were great, the cast seemed fairly energized.

Finally! Some laughs on SNL.

The Black Swan spoof and the Merry-Go-Trolly skit were both funny thanks to Jim Carrey's mastery of physical comedy. (He really needs to get a film that emphasizes that again.)

Carrey's SNL hosting gig was the most-watched episode since Betty White's last May. Unfortunately they didn't even bother to promote Phillip Morris during it :(.

I only saw the BLACK SWAN skit, which was funny.

Another good episode - - Gwyneth Paltrow elevated all the skits she was in. I especially liked the False History segment with Stratford-upon-Avon as modern movie theatre with the crowd jeering the Shakespeare previews.

Weekend Update was uncharacteristically off tonight - - Seth Green clunked through some especially poorly written jokes.

The music guest sucked - - this Cee-Lo dude is the musical equivalent of homogenized chocolate milk.

But of course, the highlight of the night was a rare and glorious appearance by Pee Wee Herman in the SNL Digital Short - - classic!

SNL with Jesse Eisenberg & Nicki Minaj was another perfect episode - - all bad, all the way through!

What would you expect with Eisenberg hosting? Poor choice for a host, IMO ;).

I haven't watched much of SNL this year but I did enjoy some of this past Saturday's episode with Eisenberg and Minaj. I thought the whole black frankenstein sketch with her was good and I enjoyed her one musical performance I got to see. Other than that, missed everything else.
