 BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
Very good start to the new season. I'm thinking this could be one of the most enjoyable seasons since the first. For one there will be no boring Ojai stuff. If it does get back to its roots I really hope this won't be the final season and that they'll do at least one more.

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
Really? I thought it was one of the worst episodes ever and not really a promising start to the new season.
It feels like they've rewinded a lot of character development backwards despite going one year into the future with the story.

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
As unrealistic as I found Justin to be giving out advice after serving a year in the military, it was a nice turnaround from the usual mom dishing out advice to kids shtick. It's a bit odd though that the writers gave Holly selective amnesia as part of the fallout from the accident. And Kitty ending her husband's life after one chat with Justin when she left Robert on life support for a whole year? WTF? Where are Robert's kids from a previous marriage? Family? Certainly, it's not up to Kitty alone to determine whether or not Robert lives another day. Lazy writing there.
Where's Tommy? What happened to Tommy? Not even a mention? (Unless if I missed it.)
It was an ok episode for me all things considered. I would like to see the water business expanded more and used as a location for conflict. It'll be good if they added in workplace drama just to offset the many personal family problems/drama that is going on right now.

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
I honestly hated it. The entire time I was like, "is dis srsly tha show I used ta watch eery Sunday?"
I just wanted it to end, and the preview for next week with the "IS NORAH A LESBIAN?! OMG!" just felt desperate and stupid.
I hope this is it.

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
Seriously, the people in this show move on from the worst tragedies so quickly. The accident at the end of last season was great TV. They spend a whole 10-20 minutes on it in episode one this season and now it's back to stupid storylines again. ugh.
I really wish they would kill off Laura. THAT would be awesome.

Yeah, the consequences and the move from the accident felt very forced, but the good thing is that the second episode was actually a very good B&S episode. It was fun, fast and interesting right until Nora told everyone what to do at the party. From that point on it dragged too much with a lot of unnecessary morals from everyone.

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
I do have qualms about Kitty moving on so fast. It would have been different if he died right away at the end of season 1 and this was a year later, but she just pulled the plug and now she's getting frisky again? Seems odd. Granted, it looks like a fun episode, but I have a difficult time believing it.

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
The third episode was OK. I liked it a little less than the second one, but it's still way better than the horrible season premiere.

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
Scotty cheating on Kevin came out of nowhere. Poor Kevin. I love Kitty's new man. Not just because he's incredibly hot, but because he also seems to be a really nice guy. I like him better than Robert. Next week's looks good.

This show is still on air?
Put this in another schedule and this will die, this is like 90% dependent on DH.

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
Actually, it's held up quite well the times it has aired without DH as a lead-in.

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
Right? I can't believe how it goes from one shitty episode to another. Pretty much all characters annoy me. And not so long ago I though his show was a breath of fresh air...

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
I quit this season four episodes in, and I've only heard it has gotten worse. Can't say I miss it.
It's really kind of sad. I used to really like this show. In the first three seasons or so it was so, so, so good. Season 4 was good. But this season, just so wtf. nothx, cya. What a fall. I just don't think the cast or crew care any more, and they just want their paychecks.

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
The only reason this is still on air is DH without it, it'll sink.

It has done fine numerous times without DH.
God won't you get shot in a drug related incident involving Mexicans and a 1983 Toyota already?

Re: BROTHERS & SISTERS (Season 5)
I guess it was a good move to stop watching this show after the second season. At least it isnt as irrelevant as Grey's.
