Great game by the Angels. Peter Bourjos hits his first career homerun. Nice.

Bummer. Boston game is delayed by rain. Wanted to see how Clay holds up with lots more pressure on him. Since the other Boston pitchers have really sucked the past couple of weeks.
And on the Yankees. That Kearns pickup is looking great.

Well I also think that right now the focus are on the teams/playoffs, not the players. Except on forums like this. Just like Pujolis, look at M Caberea, as no one has mentioned him. Anyway, back on Cano, look at the RBIs he loses batting in back of HR n RBI guys like Texeira and Arod.

He is number one in batting average, and he is pretty close to Pujols in RBI's and HR's in the NL, so he can challenge Pujols for MVP. And looking at AL, Hamilton has this one in the bag.

Some of you aren't very smart. Why Hamilton? Big deal his average is 20 points higher. Look at his other numbers and compare them all to the top 5/10 RBI guys in the AL.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Can't wait to see the numbers that Cano, an all star, puts up now that Arod is out for 2 weeks. As he has hit 6th most of the year and got pitched around. Plus Arod and Tex above him took away a lot of RBIs.
And now Cano is close to Hamilton in homers n RBIs and like 3/4 in batting.
Which is incredible for a 2nd baseman.

Hamilton will probably get MVP, but Jose Bautista deserves the PED MVP.
And I'm a Blue Jays fan.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Looking at Hamiltons numbers. Sure not great as everyone is saying.
Like # 6 in both HRs n RBIs in MLB. And on his batting average, pretty cushy spot. Hitting 3rd behind 2 guys hitting close to 300. And right in front of Vlad with Vlads great year.
*** Let's hope that Cabrera keeps putting up insane numbers and Hamiltons average comes down.
And on Cano, his votes will get split with AROD and TEX so that sucks. And his numbers are amazing for a # 6 hitting second baseman.
* and hope Vlad steals some votes from Hamilton!
*** Let's go Caberea.

And I'm a Blue Jays fan. Jose Bautista will win the Homerun title for sure (yes, there is an award for that).

Pitchers probably have played outfield before and they shag balls in batting practice. Still say a pitcher batting and then running the bases is harder/more dangerous. PS. Gun. Big Day for the Red Sox and Beckett and Lester to see if they can redeem themselves and get back into the playoffs.

Why didn't Lester start as I thought he was scheduled.
Boston didn't want to waste him against Hernandez?

Boston didn't want to waste him against Hernandez? Dkay had back problems so they switched the rotation around, tough loss though 7 for our last 9. Everyone lost so its no biggie, we got earlier today. Its coming down to it, Yankees are the only team not to have a terrible set of losses yet this year, they are certainly due, if they can't beat Toronto, this is still going to be an interesting last stretch.

Well it is only big as Red Sox are 5/6 back, so every loss is a missed opportunity.

Just to save a couple million on salary. Sht, Make the playoffs and that will make you 10 Million.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Sorry, I'm close to filming the pilot I'm Directing so its taking up a lot of my posting time. Manny has to reevaluate what he is. He'll only be a DH at this point, he'll have to stop being an asshole or noone will sign him and he'll take a massive cut. I'm glad we didn't get Damon back, sure he would have been good to have as a lead off man, but he's been struggling for over a month now, not the best to have with a team that needs a definite hot streak now.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Well pretty bad losses by Boston and the Dodgers. You can't give away games when you are 5 out of the playoffs.
Yanks didn't play good but CC still won his major league leading 18 win.
And FU to Joe Torre. Torre says he isn't playing Manny cause he wants to go with a speed lineup. As Manny hasn't played in 3 games. Why not just admit they don't want him to be hurt as they want to trade him.
