Oh look! Haren hit a home run. He's definitely not as good as a DH.

God. You are either very stupid or just a loser. But thanks for posting that as you were to chicken sht to answer a question.

* So if Haren is so good a hitter, why is he batting 9 for a shitty team?

* and big wow as that was his first homer this year!

* and if he is such a good hitter, why is his career average only 235. And people that is about 2 hits every 10 tomes up.

So just STFU, O Clueless One!

What is his average this year?

As for him hitting 9th, it's because he's a pitcher. Pitchers do not hit anywhere other than 8th/9th. Though the Dbacks had a pitcher a year or two ago that was also a DH on the side. Thus further proving my argument.

Well, it starts tonight, the first of the rivalry series at the Big A, where Big Daddy Vladdy returns as an enemy. I can imagine all the Angel fans still wearing their #27 jerseys, and Texas plays a .500 team for once. This will be a true test for both of our team (our meaning me and Mag) on who will win the division. May the best team win.

Your argument is crap. And good hitting pitchers do hit higher in the lineup.

@ both of you, first off, I wish I had tickets, but I am going to the fanfest. I was both blessed and shocked at the same time when Vlad hit the grand slam last night (hence the mixed reaction from the crowd). We were all like, where were you last year when we needed you? Although it does help when Mickey Hatcher is not your hitting coach.

Well I forget. Was Vlad hurt last year at all. And also even if he had a bad year, these great players can easily come back. Look at Manny, as he can hit 300 in his sleep.

Yes, Vlad was injury prone last year, And only ended up with 15 homers and a .295 batting average. Looks like the old Vlad here.

Fuck. Wilson pitched well but Weaver was too good last night.

Yep, Weaver's performance last night was All Star worthy. That 8th inning was scary though (including that blown call). Still, glad we took the series from your very hard team. Still, this was a great series, with all 3 being very close games.

and to the Red Sox fan I was discussing how Fenway is a joke with gift doubles.

Found this, Fenway is #1 in doubles in MLB!

Fenway is #17 in HR's
#1 in Doubles
#8 in Runs
#10 in Hits
#26 in Triples (More doubles means less triples)

Yankee Stadium is #2 in HR's
#23 in Doubles
#6 in Runs
#14 in Hits
#16 in Triples

Obviously this means that Yankees stadium is FAR too short. EASY HOME RUNS!

Going by the '09 stats (since the 2010 season isn't over yet), Fenway is 8th in runs, 21st in home runs, 17th in hits, 1st in doubles, and 14th in triples.

So, it's a doubles paradise, but for overall average its in the lower half of all ballparks.

D-backs dump AJ Hinch and their general manager. That figures, I said last year that Hinch can't manage for jack. They replace Hinch with Kirk Gibson. Should be interesting, huh Chippy.

Too bad the Orioles couldn't take advantage of this homerun debate. I can't believe these fucking injuries. Now Varitek and Lowell are out too. Yet we are just a half game back from being the best.

GUESS THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHER FOOLS OUT THERE!

FROM YAHOO SPORTS!

What ace would you rather have in your rotation?
Roy Halladay 49%
Cliff Lee 51%
33287 Votes

and bump as Lee is 7-3 with a 2.45 ERA in the AL and Halladay is 9-7 with the similar 2.42 ERA in the easier NL. And if Lee wasn't hurt and missed alot of games....so we still have to see.

Comon Angels, hit the freakin ball. Our good pitching is being wasted by our scuffling offense.

God fucking damn it.

The Yankees are the front-runners to get Cliff Lee. I thought they'd have to wait at least until next year to get him.

If they get Lee this season....this season's OVER. There is just no way they lose. No way.

well most others teams upgraded their pitching their pitching this year....look the Red Sox got Lackey, so the Yankees getting Lee might fair things out....

and I wonder how Lee will do with the Yankees, as I thought the Phillies should have kept Lee and the prospects over Halladay.

can't wait! just hope they are smart enough to sign him for 3/4 years before the trade happens.
