Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Love this Jays season. Every time we have a disheartening loss I think "alright this is the turning point, prepare for a 5-18 stretch", they come back and keep beasting. Only 1.5 out of the WC.

The Jays are certainly fighting tough in battle for most likely 4th place.

One good thing for the Yankees is Granderson coming back from injury playing well and TEX hasn't started hitting yet.

Great sweep of the M's by my Angels. This offense is getting better with Morales gone (spark plug perhaps). Although I knew this series would be easy cause the M's simply have no offense.

First place baby. Also, I am looking forward to seeing Strasburg's debut. They really are making big news out of this.

Selig is pissing me off with his punkish comments. STFU. As steroids and not you saved baseball in the 90s.

Yup 14 K. But also 0 Walks and only 4 hits. And a Win in 1st Ever Start.
Very impressive.
Can we still win Cy Young in half a season?

Damn! That was an awsome way to start your career. I can easily see him striking out 20+ batters multiple times.
7 IP, 4 Hits, 2 Runs, 14 K & zero freaking walks.

OMG STRASBURG
14 strikeouts!
Maybe I can actually not have to be embarrassed that my team is the Nationals now.

At least for every 5th game you have a reason to cheer, Libs.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
14 strikeouts and 0 walk, in 7 innings! That's crazy for any pitcher, let alone a 21-year old in his debut. Granted, it's against Pirates, but that's freaking unbelievable in every way. Some of the curveballs were just unfair.

His highlights blew me away even more than the 14 Ks and 0 walks line. I've never seen pitches at that speed move so much.

Maybe I can actually not have to be embarrassed that my team is the Nationals now. Actually, your team is playing better baseball than the past 3 years. Actually, they may still have a winning record this year still. Riggleman is a far better manager than Manny Acta.

Nice pounding by my Angels today, and this against Billingsly. Joel Pinero gets another CG, and scores three runs without getting a hit. How often does that happen.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Yanks 1 game from the best record in baseball and the team isn't even playing well yet.
and the Mets starting to put it together and years of injuries and stupid moves from idiot managers and GMs.
Just like 2000, an all New York WS in 2010.
and then a Yankee Championship.

Whoa!!! Daniel Nava hits a Grand Slam in his very first Major League at bat (only the 4th person in history ever to do it).
