8 in a row for Texas! Granted, it was against teams that we should be beating, but it's still great. We our next seven games are against Pitt and Houston. Hopefully we can win 5 out of 7, to position ourselves at least 4+ games ahead of LAA before our big series against them.

The power duo of Hamilton/Vlad is insane. Best 3-4 in the game right now.

Yes they are. Although like you said, your interleague schedule is too easy (Pirates, Houston). Yes, the Angels are owning the Dodgers this year, so I can't complain about crosstown game. But now the key to this division is how we do against each other, and we have 17 games to play.

Both are doing great. Dodgers only 2 games out of 1st after playing horribly in getting swept by the Red Sox.

And the Mets with the WC playoff lead after losing 2 straight to the best team in MLB, the defending WS Champion New York Yankees.

Whatever as the Yankees are screwed by the schedule maker.

Afer playing on Sunday and flying cross country, the Yankees play in 1 of only 3 games set for Monday.

Hoiw about 1 day off when yoiu travel cross country.

So check the map and see what is a longer flight and the visiting team has to check into a hotel.

Anyway, They should have found other teams to play, not one that had to travel cross country as that tires you out, especially on a game day.

Hey Munk,

So how are a well rested Yankee team doing against the pretty average Haren?

How are the Mets doing against the 2nd Place Tigers?

And the Dodgers and Red Sox?

Ha, only a few more days Grill. Sox won 6 in a row, I like how you say the Yanks can't win them all after a 3 game winning streak (One of their highest of the year) double LOL,

Great game for Sox/ Rockies- Great pitching. Lowell and Papi's single pinch hits were so close to taking the lead, we got robbed. We've only had the best record in baseball since April 20th, a few more days won't make much of a difference.

Blah blah Blah. And still making up things Gun as where did I say this mr liar > I like how you say the Yanks can't win them all after a 3 game winning streak (One of their highest of the year) double LOL,

Also wow guess you don't follow baseball much to understand baseball!!!!!! But teams go up and down on streaks during the year.

Also for the Yankees, who cares what the Red Sox do...maybe they will take the Wild Card from Tampa. And considering the players they went out and bought you would think they should - just like the Yankees.

And on the Yankees, the defending Champion Yankees, they are still looking good. With the best record in baseball even with their injuries so far - Catcher, Outfielders especially. And Arod, CC, Tex haven't been really hot yet and all are known to be second half players.

So whatever on the Red Sox as I bet the Yankees aren't thinking or scared of them.

So who called Haran the best pitcher in baseball? Basically 500 record and a 4.65 era

Guess my comment about him being average yesterday was correct.

To scotty. What do you think of the chances that the Angels make the playoffs. Lots of teams they have to beat with Texas playing so well in their division. And then there are 2 WC teams that you have to fight in the East - probably Tampa and Boston as the Yanks should take the division.

I think it all depends on two things.

1. Our games with Texas. We have 17 games with them.
2. Keep on winning the games we have right now and don't worry about the standings until out games with Texas. I think it's still possible since our record in July is usually red hot, especially with our schedule coming out and Texas now facing a harder schedule in July then they have this month. In fact, we are playing well despite injuries to 3 key players.

I say, in the AL West, it's still up for grabs (Oakland is too inexperience, and the Mariners, well, just have no offense to go anywhere).

Texas on the other hand, need to have as big a lead as possible since they usually falter by September, unless they break that September spell. They are not as great on the road as they are at home. Angels, on the other hand, have a more winning road record, in fact, our road record is better than our home record (weird, I know). Texas needs to play better on the Road to win their division.

Didn't realize driving in 2 runs, having 8 K's and only letting in 3 runs against a power Yankees team is average.

Hmm

4.65 ERA, especially in the NL is very average.

Well I didn't expect them to win every game. Guess you did.

I am happy with them being the defending WS Champs, Hey Gun!, and being tied for the best record in MLB.

I'm surprised you don't remember Grill, it was only a week ago, you know when the Yankees Swept Houston and then won the first game of the Phillies. They've gone 3-4 since then. If you consider that great baseball you expect from New York you should jump ship soon. The only reason they are even doing that ok this month is because they played Baltimore 6 games, Houston 3 games, Arizona, and the Mets are hardly any competition for the defending WS Champs. So 15 of your 20 last games have been against teams with an average average of .373, I certainly hope they play good against that, but alas they are not.

So no comments Gun as your Sox have now lost 2 in a row and blown a game in the 9th. Wow, with the way you were talking, I thought the Sox were primed to win every game.

Anyway, whatever dude as you again show you are clueless with your multiple posts on this board. But as a lifetime Red Sox fan, I wouldn't expect you to understand baseball and winning that well.

Wow, this was one of the most unusual endings for the Freeway Series. I was at the Angel Dodger game today and boy was an experience it was. Lots of trash talking throughout, but the ending woke everyone up, with Dodger fans screaming "What in the world were you think Martin?" To see what I am talking about, go to the website and see for yourself (words cannot explain this).

Yeah that was a f'ed up Dodger 9th inning.

But still a great night as the Mets are just short of 1st Place.

And 2 great Yankee wins and 2 horrible Red Sox losses have corrected the course and sent Gun back into the depths of Red Sox fan hell.
