Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Like I said last week. Crybaby pitcher starts getting hit too hard and throws at hitter.
Sure hope cano isn't hurt too bad.
And wish someone would start letting bats slip at these pitchers.

Beckett is a punk. Hitting a guy in the knee and another on the numbers cause he is getting hit hard.
Can't believe Red Sox went 6 years on his contract.

Can't believe Red Sox went 6 years on his contract. They went four. He's with the Red Sox until 2014, not 2016. Beckett originally wanted five, Sox wanted four, so they met in the middle with four and slightly more money per year.

The Red Sox are pretty much fucked... good luck gaining 8 games on the two best teams in the league...

Matsui gets his 1500th RBI (and an important one too, as it won us the game). Congrats Godzilla.

Suck it A-Rod! Amazing. I saw it live while watching the Angel game. Funny thing is that once again, Tampa Bay was the victim for the second consecutive time (as they were the victums for the Mark Buerle one last year).

Suck it A-Rod! whatever as I bet Arod doesn't give a shit, as everyone made too big a deal about nothing, except that Tampa lost and the YANKEES can move into 1st Place tonight. If they beat Boston for the 5th time in 6 games tonight. but still congrats to him...unlike Iron above, who wants to make a great perfect game about Arod....

Another funny coincidence, Gabe Kapler was the last batter in both of the perfect games pitched against them.
But yeah, I am curious to hear A-rods reaction to this.

Halfway through the 3rd inning the Rangers were beating the Blue Jays 9-3. It is now 15-10 Jays in the bottom of the 5th. Jesus christ

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Jays are holding strong. Only 3 back of Yankees, 4 from Rays. Sucks how we have the 4th best record in the AL and our playoff chances are almost 0. There needs to be at least 5 teams in the playoff hunt... just make the 1st and 2nd wildcards have a sudden death matchup the day after the season every year...

Great CG by Joe Saunders. That'll redeem the woes my Angels have had this season.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
It'll be interesting if we can stay in striking distance (3-4 games back) of the Rays and Yankees by the end of this month. Starting May 31st is a 9 game stretch with 3x vs Tampa Bay, 3x vs New York, 3x @ Tampa Bay. By the end of that we could either be in the playoff mix for real or dead in the water. I'm shocked at how decent this team is. Tied for 6th best record in the whole MLB and for some reason I'm buying it more than the hot start a year ago. Handful of good bats with Hill/Lind/Wells/the emerging Snider, great 1 2 punch in Marcum and Romero. I don't actually expect to make the playoffs but if we can stay in the hunt for a few months and make the Rays and Yankees sweat it'd be better than basically every season the last 15 years

Well. Looks like I called it correctly that the Boston starting pitching shouldn't be ranked over the Yankee starters.

Shack wrote: Handful of good bats with Hill/Lind/Wells/the emerging Snider Actually, Hill and Lind are quite disappointing till now compared to last season. But A.Gonzalez and J.Buck are showing some unexpected power and new-comer F.Lewis is also contributing. However they will need Hill and Lind's bats ultimately.

Nice sweep of the A's. Looks like the pitching is coming together. Nice CG Shutout for Joel Pinero. Two CG Shutouts in a series, how often does that happen?
