It's interesting how 95% of baseball stadiums are about the same size.

My point is, the two stadiums aren't very different.

And sure, the Green Monster unfairly (?? has it been banned by baseball yet? ) adds to batting averages, just like it "unfairly" takes away from power numbers. Most balls that go halfway up the wall are gone at Yankee Stadium.

The difference in length from left to right in Fenway is a "whopping" 28 feet (whopping if both parks were formed on straight lines). From right to center, Fenway has the advantage by 17 feet. And both foul poles aren't vastly different from one another. So basically, Yankee Stadium(s) is bigger than Fenway by only, and when you compare both to other stadiums across the league like Chip points out, most equal out.

You talk like 15 to 28 feet are no big deal. Well if you watch baseball games, then balls in front or on the warning track become homers at Fenway.

And the green monster is famous for the pop out homer that is an out at another stadium aka like the famous Bucky Dent homer.

And there are the famous stories where some people claim that the green Monster isn't as far out as the number says.
