Dr. Magnus wrote: If Rangers are healthy, they'll win the West. They're a better team than the Angels this year IMO. This is the first time in over 10 years where I feel we are the best team in our division. Yep, the injurys hurt the Rangers at the end of the year. But hey, they're farm system is getting stronger. In fact, some say that is better than what the Angels have. I am now gaining more respect for these Rangers, and feel bad that they get no reconition. Hopefully both teams can make it to show those East Coast Bias media who is the best. In fact, I think the AL West, in general, looks the best of any division. Go West. BTW, do you think attendence at Ranger ballpark will go up again due to the new ownership?

Mauer is $184 million richer and people in Minnesota seem to like him more based on the response I've seen living here. It won't be long before he's more liked than Kirby was, if he isn't already.

BASEBALL!
Not going to do full record predictions because it's too time consuming a boring, so I'll just rank em' in how I think the divisions will wind up.
AL EAST 1. Red Sox - If the rotation stays healthy. 2. Yankees 3. Rays 4. Orioles 5. Blue Jays - They'll have the worst record in baseball this year.
AL CENTRAL 1. Twins 2. Tigers 3. White Sox 4. Royals 5. Indians
AL WEST 1. Mariners 2. Angels 3. Rangers 4. A's -- This is going to be a fun division race to watch. The Mariners, Angels and Rangers all have a shot of winning it.
NL EAST 1. Phillies 2. Braves 3. Marlins 4. Mets 5. Nationals -- Wow. Didn't realize it until just now, but the NL East is awful outside of the Phillies.
NL CENTRAL 1. Cardinals 2. Reds 3. Astros 4. Brewers 5. Cubs 6. Pirates
NL WEST 1. Dodgers 2. Diamondbacks 3. Giants 4. Rockies 5. Padres - They'll trade Gonzalez either before or after the deadline and then they'll completely fall off the map.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
I agree with Jmart that the Blue Jays are destined to have the worst recored in baseball. Without the Doc, their rotation is nothing.
I too think the AL West can go either way, but I still think the Halo's will have the slight edge. I also think the AL East has a three-way race Sox, Yanks and Rays.
I disagree with the NL West, I think the Rockies are the odds on favorite to win the division. And I think the Brewers will do better than people think. I agree that the NL East will be only between the Braves and Phillies, no one else will come close.
Overall, semi-decent predictions in my opinion.

Not a good start for Beckett. Neither him nor CC will get a decision tonight.

Great comeback by Boston. I am concerned about the start by Beckett. Hope he just had a bad game or something.

Here comes the season.
I was on the KTLA news today as a fan that gathered at Angels Stadium. It was raining, but I was commited to be on TV.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Can't quote because it won't fit on my phone, but Grill I can see the Yankees winning the division. I'm giving the slight edge to the Sox though because I think their rotation is slightly better (trading Cabrera for Vasquez was easily the worst trade by any team in sometime). I think the race will come down to the last couple of weeks.

The sound of the ball coming off his bat was ear shattering.
Not too many home runs are so impressive that the really electrify a TV viewer...but that was VERY impressive. Soon as its online Ill post it.

Great win for the Rangers today. Struggled a bit but Cruz came through in the clutch (twice). Yes, it was a good win for them. Did you know they had one of the biggest crowds in history of the ballpark (over 50,000 in attendance). Do you think Vladdy will have an impact in the attendence (Hispanic fanbase)? It is working with the Angels because of Matsui, the left field pavilion is very full at almost every game (I was told that alot of Japanese tourist are basically filling up that section). Good signings by both teams to boost attendence.

Good solid start so far for my Angels. Solid pitching, good defense, and a Homerun by Godzilla. Welcome to the Angels Matsui.
I agree that Lincecum is the best pitcher in the majors today.

Haran? I think you have to put a couple others including Santana over him.
I was going to say Lincecum but since he is a punk, I will say King Felix.

so Yankees took 2 out of 3 at Fenway. Just too bad as it should have been 3 out of 3.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
That Pujols + Holliday combo is pretty deadly when it's on.
Brewers up at bat and I see this guy called Prince Fielder and he's the heaviest baseball player I've ever seen. I look him up and the interweb says he's 270 LBS. Holy...
He needs to trim it down.
