Simply put, they deserved it. They took a 3-0 lead and immediately took their foot off the pedal. Then the Flyers took the game back.

Good for them. If you come back down 0-3 in a Game 7, in a series where you were down 0-3, you ABSOLUTELY DESERVE AND EARNED THE WIN.

And just when you thought the Bruins couldn't hit a new low...

I'm still thinking it'll be Montreal/Chicago final.

No this would be the worst. That power play lead to Montreal tying it. The Bruins still could've won in overtime. AND, those Bruins weren't on the verge of blowing a 3-0 series lead in '79.

At least the Flyers are winning. If they came out and tanked both games I'd be incredibly pissed right now. Instead I'll have to deal with being very pissed considering it looks like Montreal has finally run out of steam and the Bruins, like the Flyers, could've taken advantage of that.

Chicago/Philly will still be good, I guess. Not quite an original six matchup, but close enough. Plus a couple of long Cup droughts to be broken.

I just don't know how the Flyers are doing it. They haven't had stellar goaltending since, like, Ron Hextall, and all of a sudden they get two guys who are stealing them games? It's ridiculous.

Leighton's play this series is getting as overrated as Halak's the last 2. Montreal's defense was more important in the first two rounds. They forced perimeter shots and shut down any screens, deflections or rebounds. Washington took 20 foot shots the whole time and Pittsburgh had their centres shut down in favor of their shitty ass wing players taking the shots. Halak most of the time was just stopping what he was supposed to.

The difference this round is Philly is much bigger and stronger than Montreal and are getting a TON of screens and rebounds, whereas Montreal is playing like Pittsburgh and Washington did the first two rounds or like San Jose is right now, that is as pussies who don't have any presence near the net. In game 1 Halak's 4 goals were 2 rebounds and 2 screens. Game 2 was a sick shot by a wide open Briere, a rebound, and the 3rd goal was junk by Halak.

I think Philly was the best East team all along. They have a lot of dangerous forwards, the best dman, and they play physical and get dirty goals. Washington was lacking the d/physicality and Pitt's forward wing depth was way too crappy, and their d was suspect

Chicago's got to be an easy favourite to win it all now.

I'm gonna vomit if Chicago wins.

Congratulations to the Habs on an amazing playoff run, the first I've seen since I've been truly following hockey, and is thusly very special to me. I won't forget the end of this season, nor the Habs topping the President's Trophy winners and the defending Stanley Cup Champions, and sending Ovechkin and Crosby golfing before the Habs!

I figured Chicago would make it, but I thought they'd be playing Pittsburgh or Washington. They should be able to beat the Flyers.

So should have New Jersey. And Boston. And with all their momentum, Montreal. I know, Chicago is the strongest of those four teams. But I won't be counting out the Flyers anytime soon.
