 Re: 24: Season 8 Thread
Now that is the 24 I love. Smart and thrilling. I yelled so loud at the end that my dormmates practically knocked on my door telling me to shut up.

Great, great episode. I'm definitely roped in for this seaosn for sure. I was losing it a bit in the beginning, but I'm here for good now.

 Re: 24: Season 8 Thread
Guess we always have to have that one inside player, but I certainly didn't think it was her. She was so vulnerable early on playing the abused girlfriend. Then even when Ortiz saved her ass at the rv even then she seemed like a wuss, but she took it to the next level now. Also, Hell Yeah to Renee saving the day. Hell Yeah to Chloe. "I don't take praise well"

God, seriously, I give them credit for making her subplot so weak in the beginning. Did not see that coming at all (not even the killing) Great episode. Theres a shitload of cool things going on now. Chloe and Renee, Jack and Cole.

 Re: 24: Season 8 Thread
Wow, 24, well played. Dana's subplot dragging and being ludicrous all season was apparently on purpose because SHE IS AN EVIL MOLE OMG. I actually didn't see that coming at all. Her just strangling Stephen Root like it was nothing was what I wanted her to do the entire first part of the season to Redneck DiCaprio.
Chloe was awesome in this episode. And Renee's back! Yay.

Yeah it was a hell of a shock. It also makes me think that she was put there by someone important. Somebody with connections had to get her that job.

 Re: 24: Season 8 Thread
I still don't see how this makes her subplot, up to this point, any less inane.
Good episode, though.

 Re: 24: Season 8 Thread
When the subplot started, I had my suspicions she was some sort of mole, but the subplot got so stupid that the thought completely escaped me. I guess that was why they made the subplot so horrible...
Anyway, that was a wonderful episode. Hastings is really growing on me, and my dislike of Dana is justified. Renee being back and Chloe being super Chloe only added to the episode.
24 is back.

The supblot is now even more retarted.
OK, Dana is with the terrorists. Why didn't she just kill the guy and his buddy to begin with in order not to be distracted?

OK, Dana is with the terrorists. Why didn't she just kill the guy and his buddy to begin with in order not to be distracted? Well, we don't know who Dana really was before she had to deal with him. Was she really the abused girlfriend she was playing or was that all part of her cover? Since, we don't know that it's all still very relevant as it built her character in what seemed like a junky sub plot. Her character has evolved into something more deceptive. She was going to get married to Ortiz as well, so maybe all that is fake too.

Haha, I did originally think in the first episode that Dana would be the mole if there was one in this season, but he subplot just kept going on and on that I dropped that idea.
Awesome episode.

 Re: 24: Season 8 Thread
Didn't Dana tell Cole she was gonna give herself up to the parole officer? What was that all about? EDIT: Fuck. I just realized that she knew about the EMP coming in. Clever. Krem wrote: The supblot is now even more retarted.
OK, Dana is with the terrorists. Why didn't she just kill the guy and his buddy to begin with in order not to be distracted? I think she didn't want to kill Kevin until the end because she probably has a personal connection with the guy back in her real old life. Killing him just didn't feel an option for her until his partner went too far. That, and she probably doesn't want someone like the parole officer poking around because Kevin disappeared. Oh, and since she's working with the terrorists, being an incompetent and distracted CTU agent would be helping the terrorist.

It was probably the biggest misdirection the series has ever pulled since Nina (hers will always be better because she was such a great good guy as well as a bad guy.)
