Friday Night Lights will be next. Great legs ahead for that one, as expected.

Fright Night Lights will follow the pattern of Ladder 49 and pass 50M next weekend. Team America is done. I won't totally rule out Shall We Dance, but it needs to expand to 2500 theaters to have a chance. The WOM isn't that great, so it's unlikely that it will have a leg similar to The Notebook or With a Paddle.

Grudge will be next.

yay. I'm quite surprised at how well it's doing. To me that's another surpriser of the year that belongs in the leagues of Mean Girls and The Notebook.

Really? There has no yet been a film to do that? Well, many would have done it had they opened with just a bit more or less. It's just a matter of having the right film open with 20m-22m. In any case, a film like Ray, the type to have great legs, will not be it. It's just about a lock for 70m.

While it is doing superbly, I doubt it will carry that much interest beyond this weekend. I see a number close to 40m.

Ray is expanding into 500 more theaters next weekend. I see it following the box office pattern of Seabiscuit. I believe it's a lock for 100M.

That would be an incredible feat for such a film. Here's to hoping it manages it!

The Incredibles now makes it 49.

What will be next? Ray, Saw, or Polar Express? We'll have to wait and see.

Ray will make it this weekend. Shall We Dance? and Saw will make it next weekend. That's all for Fall, making it 9.

Bridget Jones and The Polar Express will both make it from this weekend's openers.
